An unmitigated disaster. As a customer of Boots Opticians I have been lumped with Adaro, and I have not received my paid-for contact lenses since August 2024. One thing has been reliable though, that they debit my account. I am on my fifth phone call attempt with Boots and still getting excuses along the lines of 'we don't have access to records before 1 January so can't help with problems before then'.

The basic agreement is that I pay for contact lenses, and the company delivers them. Adaro and Boots have failed abjectly in not only delivering the service I am paying for (how is it so complicated to put some contact lenses in the post?), but also in communicating they were having issues, and now in taking any steps to mitigate, restore, and compensate.

Happy to remove this review if anyone ever bothers to fix this problem.

After checking my online account for confirmation of remaining balance, the information isn't available.

I called Adaro today and after 10 minutes waiting, a woman answered the call. "Hello, Adaro". She asked my name and postcode. She didn't confirm hwr name or say please and thank you. When I mentioned her manner she said she was doing her job.

I ended the call and will calm back later and hopefully speak to someone else.

I may change my review if I receive a better service.

If I could give a negative 5 star I would.
I do not recommend Adaro for any finance of any kind.
Went to Vision Express for new glasses in the hope I could renew / carry on my finance I had with them.
The gentleman who served me who I might say was fantastic, said to me that my plan was completed and finished and I had missed the window to renew. Bit annoying, but I went with the Klarna option instead.
I then get a letter in the post from Adaro 2 months later telling me I had missed a payment, that they had tried to contact me regarding a missed payment and because I didn't get in touch with them they now demand I pay £111.44 [the so say missed payment was £27.86]
I will not under any circumstances be paying a penny.
As per usual, try calling them and sit on hold all afternoon.

Awful subscription platform. On boots contact lenses , all emails go to junk it locks you out for an hour even if you reset your password.

As a long standing client of AdaroOptics, I have always found them to be reliable, helpful and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Do not use Adaro finance plans. Despite having all the correct payment information and taking the first direct debit instalment without any issue, they have subsequently sent two threatening letters to my mother insisting she has not been paying the instalments and the full amount was due by return.
After the first letter was received, she called Adaro to discuss the apparent collection issue with a member of their team and paid the balance of any uncollected instalments (it should be noted that Adaro did have all the correct information and there was no reason for any collection issue at their end).
Following this call to solve the problem, she then received another letter stating that as she had not responded or contacted the company they would be taking further action and the matter would impact her future credit capacity. This issue sits entirely with Adaro. They clearly have terrible work practices when it comes to handling customer issues and show zero due diligence to ensure they are even in the right before demanding payments are made in full. I would not recommend Adaro to anyone, their unprofessional conduct and bullying letters are utterly unacceptable.
