We always look for a farm shop when we’re driving any distance and Allington was a great find.
Just a few miles south off J17 on the M4 this is a lovely place to drop into whether a breakfast, coffee and pastry or a lunch or even just to mooch around a fantastic deli and farm shop.
Very friendly, warm and incredibly comfy seating, this will now be a regular stop off from now on.

Very courteous and polite staff. My friends poached eggs were over-cooked but they were quickly replaced with a fresh plate of perfectly poached eggs. My sausage sandwich was very nice. We were just having a light brunch on our way to an event at Hartham Park, but would love to go back for lunch as the full menu was full of delicious sounding food. A great, albeit expensive, experience.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Easy to find at J 17 of the M4. Well worth the diversion for a superb home made quiche and Latte. Food and sandwiches looked good but also a very extensive blackboard menu choice

The goto Farm Cafe and Restaurant on the Bath side of Chippenham. Excellent choice of meals and friendly staff. The cakes are stunning. We never miss stopping at Arlington’s when in the area. Also has a great farm shop and butcher’s.

Took my mum for a lovely breakfast brunch on our way to a spa - she had eggs on toast with black pudding and I went for the chorizo potato hash.
Quick, friendly service, very tasty food and a delightful farm shop - would recommend!

Fantastic farm shop with a great range of meat, fresh produce and some amazing drinks, condiments and treats that I've never seen anywhere else.

It is pricey but for occasional treats it's great. (there is a cafe here too)

Plenty of choice of pantry goods in the farm shop. Massive range of chutneys. However the place felt joyless, no staff greeted us while we were walking round and they didn’t seem happy to be there.

Visited this farm shop/cafe today as had read positive reviews and was a little ‘treat’ for my mum before Christmas.
Obviously busy given time of year, not packed out.
On arrival greeted by a lovely array of fresh , some local veg , unfortunately that’s where the positives finished. Despite being competitively priced and of good quality , the predominantly teenage staff were rushing around, ‘filming’
Screenshots of veg for social media , almost pushing elderly customers out of the way. At the counter , once the young cashier had finished chatting to her colleague about how quiet the cafe was, barely managed a grimace as she took my basket , and flung carrots /parsnips etc over the counter once weighed, and seemed that I was a bother being there. Was it that I had dressed in joggers on my one day off this week? Some of us have far more high pressured roles, just saying.
You were very lucky the whole thing didn’t get left on the counter , only for the fact my elderly mother was counting on the veg for a Christmas meal.
Curb your pretentious attitudes’ and get real, I’m amazed the shop is that busy with that level of customer service.
Will never return.
