We went out for a "date night" and decided to try Allium. Fantastic food and great service. The pictures provided really don't do the food justice. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service was attentive without being pushy. Just a great evening out overall.

We had the Duck and Fillet with pepper sauce, followed by the Chocolate mousse to share.

We recently attended our wedding anniversary for an evening meal.

I had the Thai Red chicken curry with the mozzarella balls as a starter. My wife had the evening special, Brancaster mussels. Of course, washed down with a couple of pints of IPA and bubbly for the better half.
The food was delicious and well presented. The portions were generous, and there was no need for the sides we had in anticipation of the portions falling short.
Just to mention, the waitress was friendly and attentative.
Pricing was about right if you're a regular to dining out. With the whole restful atmosphere, lighting, ambience, etc, we will definitely visit again before Christmas.
Well needed addition for the town centre.

Simply the best restaurant and food In Norfolk. Always a great selection of specials and old favourites. A great ambience and friendly welcome. Can't recommend it enough.

A fantastic and high quality dining experience with an incredible selection of starters, mains and desserts. The food is remarkable, every bite was a culinary delight with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Staff are courteous and knowledgeable about what they are serving. The interior is comforting and elegant with a glamorous bar offering a wide range of wines and cocktails. It is a costly fine dining establishment, but it is 10000% worth the price.
This restaurant does get extremely busy in the evenings especially over the weekend, so I would recommend booking in advance.

First visit and had a lovely roast. The chicken was very tasty and the lamb shank was even better. Super friendly staff, great cocktails and then a superb chocolate tart to finish. Really enjoyed ourselves in this excellent restaurant on the main square. Thoroughly recommend to all.

Finally got the chance to visit this Downham Market absolute gem of family owned and run restaurant. Had lunch with my daughter and we decided to go for a simple light lunch, a sandwich, only to be welcomed by a wholesome meal. I had the club 26 sandwich and my daughter had the chicken and pesto one. Ingredients so fresh, tasty and superb quality, the bacon on my sandwich was lean and soooo flavoursome. We had chips and 4 coffees and finished with a beautiful super moist carrot cake to share as we were trully full. The staff and owner were so friendly, welcoming and attentive. The decor and general atmosphere makes it a superb luxurious London yet with the Norfolk charming hospitality experience at an accessible price. Thank you Allium for making lunch with my daughter a very special occasion 💞

A beautiful meal yet again last night. Staff work incredibly hard, they are welcoming and provide great service.
The food is wonderful. The atmosphere busy and warm, with lovely decor and music. So lovely to actually eat a meal in such a great restaurant.
