Closed to public, the people currently living there cause local residents problems. Mainly a lot of noise issues late at night. Hotel seemingly do not care when complained to.

Nice hotel . The hitel is clean and tidy. Rooms are OK nothing brilliant but you get what u pay for. Bed was comfortable and when I asked for extra pillows it wasn't a problem. ||Great located town center 5 min walk away perfect location for shopping ||||Staff check in staff were lovely. ||||Would only recommend for short stay . Nice hotel with great staff. The rooms are clean but a little dated. Food was very good with a great breakfast. Conference facilities were good. Bar prices were expensive. Room overlooked the internal atrium so you were unable to open the window to get natural air. Also it was very noisy as the atrium was very busy with drunken guests at the bar. Gym was decent enough. All in all a nice hotel.

Staff, including security personnel, were helpful, pleasant, and responsive to requests. ||The room was decent size, clean, comfortable and well-equipped, and everything worked (kettle, iron, fridge etc). ||Meals were excellent, food arrived hot, well-packaged and on time. Given the restrictions of having to individually package every meal for every guest it was reasonable to be asked to choose the menu in advance. ||The free wifi was good enough to allow me to connect to my office secure systems and work normally.||I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to be locked up for 10 days

A beautiful atmosphere with great amenities. The friendly staff provided great service and the rooms are comfortable with great beds. The breakfast buffet was exceptional with great variety and quality. With pool and gym facilities as well as spa facilities on sight just about everything is covered. The convenient access to the train platform is a bonus for getting where you need to go.

I had to spend 10 days as I travelled from a red-zone country .
The price I paid , which was 1750 pounds was well more expensive than the usual price. Having said that I would expect decent services with such a high price. The food was of very poor quality. I appreciate there is no room services due to COVID 19 restrictions. It felt to me as if we were treated as prisoners, with security men on the corridor and restrictions implemented.
I think the hotel administration needs to reflect on how they treat residents who have been forced to stay in the hotel as the same residents might be looking for a hotel in different circumstances.

The hotel is really nice.
The staff are super friendly

The beds and pillows are old and need replacing.

We had a few problems with air-conditioning but we're loved without hassle.

I was glutened, which is a serious thing for me, despite assurances from wait staff. However the hotel reacted quickly, seriously and appropriately.

If they got better mattresses, I'd be back.

I viewed one of their meeting rooms and their pub with a view to booking an event. The meeting room I viewed was a nice space but the walls were not in great condition. The pub appeared well maintained and comfortable. All areas of the hotel that I visited appeared clean and there was a nice atmosphere in the lobby. The guests appeared relaxed and comfortable and most of the staff were very friendly. Wheelchair accessibility seemed adequate with the exception of the flight of stairs from the basement car park but there were areas to stop outside the hotel. The main reception was disappointing as they directed me to another desk because I wasn't a guest and when I returned to comment that the desk was unmanned, they didn't appear to do anything. I and another person were left for 20 minutes until another member of staff happened to walk past and kindly offered to help. The event coordination team were helpful, professional and knowledgeable however I felt that event room hire is expensive for smaller gatherings.
