Not much parking and roads to it are narrow, but what an amazing view and a very cool ancient rock monument.

Like many prehistoric monuments in western England and Wales,

this monument has been linked to King Arthur.

According to the 13th-century legend, it was here that Arthur slew a giant,

who left the impression of his elbows on one of the stones as he fell.

Others suggest the indentations were left by Arthur's

knees or elbows as he knelt there to pray.

Visiting is easy and is about 11 miles from Hereford along the A438 and B4352 (Pentre lane ) and then 3/4 of a mile along Arther's Stone Lane (this is the only narrow part.
There is parking for 3/4 cars in a lay-by right next to the site. There are no facilities.
I have been told that this site can get busy in the summer months.

Nice of them to build it beside the road 😉 small parking space. Interesting monument. It was fascinating to see what my forebears did with their spare time.
Once again! Orient images to the building from the signage, NOT North! It is not always possible to identify what you are looking at without a compass. The signage is supposed to help. This one was set on the wrong side of the stones AND is out of date! Mad!

Great if your into that sort of thing, not really much to look at, a small sign of information about it, on the brighter side its a nice view of the surrounding country side. No toilet or refreshment facility's anywhere near by.

A fantastic piece of archaeology that is worth viewing. It is a bit out of the way, but worth the drive or walk. The stonew are from the Neolithic era, and if you arrive during July you can see the active archaeological excavations and engage with the students and professors conducting the work. The small plaque is unfortunately now incorrect, as recent digs have completely rewritten the history of the site. With a stunning backdrop on a sunny day, this is a great place to view and think about life.
