This great old hall is the home of the internationally famous Aveley & Newham Band and is a true centre piece of the local community, benefiting several hundreds of people in the area over many long years. Mr James Walker and his dear friend Mr Derek Morris, both Vice-Presidents of the Band, have worked tirelessly throughout their lives to maintain the building and both deserve a medal for their incredibly hard work. This is a wonderful place, full of atmosphere and character, and continues to serve the area well in providing facilities for the Band, dance classes, religious groups and a variety of others. Absolutely marvellous, I love it!
