GLASS EXTERNAL BALCONY: Great quality product. Chose to self assemble so it looks great but could have been better with hindsight and lessons learned. Instructions were vague so some thinking was involved. Could not for the life of me get the glass wedges to go fully in so the rubber seal provided does not sit flat all the way round. Choose wisely when it comes to your fixings and if using anchor bolts, ensure the drill bit size is 2 mm bigger than your bolts to allow for resin! Overall, looks great but I’m a perfectionist so the small imperfections frustrate me.

The erection and build was done by one person with the help of props.
Very happy with my balcony railing but would not recommend this as a DIY project as the instructions for assembling although very good could do with some clarification. If packs were clearly labelled to indicate their reference in the instructions this would make the DIY job easier to follow. I also noted the original suggested markings of the top rail to align the base rails did not coincide . To overcome this a couple of 9 mm MDF panels the same size as the glass and a couple of simple support props made this job easier and with less lifting of the heavy glass panels and helped to align the top and rails.
A very solid system.

Tried to install the SG12 handrail myself and turned out to be a nightmare. The installation guide didn't mention that there are two rubber gasket thicknesses supplied - 2mm and 3mm. We tried really hard to fit two 3mm gaskets in but no success and had to abort the job and clear all silicone from the glass and handrail.
Phoned the tecnichial team for help and only then found out there are two thicknesses and we need to use one rubber 2mm and one in 3mm. We tried, but still too tight to fit them in.
It is definitely not a DIY job, unless the system is improved so it is more DIY friendly.

A very good company to deal with. Over the years I have had 2 internal balconettes and an external. Every order has gone without a hitch and after sales support is excellent.
