Visited Balfe's today looking for a new bike for my son. The help and advice offered by Ian (E-Man!) was exceptional. He went out of his way to spend time demonstrating various bike styles and sizes and was extremely helpful and patient. I'm so glad we went into a shop instead of just ordering a bike online based solely on price. We left with a fantastic new bike and plenty of useful knowledge to get my son comfortable and safe on his first few rides. Could not recommend more highly.

I recently dropped into Balfes, looking for an electric hybrid bike for work. I was warmly welcomed by their friendly staff. As I was looking around, I was aquainted with staff member Andy. He was very helpful, polite and knowledgeable. He pointed me to a few bikes that fitted my requirements. He offered me a test ride in the car park, to get a better feel of the bike he recommended. Long story short, I left the store with a purchase of that same bike model. I've had no issues with the bike, I would definitely buy from Balfes again. 100% satisfied customer.

What a great change to usual high street bike 🚲 shops. It’s a example of quality where size of the business still don’t outweigh quality of service and that what any of the shops offer for the final customer. Today I bought there my Scott Genius 900 and I was served by instant legend Andy who look properly after me in every step of purchase without being pushy or try to convince me I need things which I don’t really need ( We all know that type ). Whole experience was professional and they keeping really high standards of customer service. I’m one happy bunny and if you ask me I want go back and spend more of my hard earned money answer is Hell yes 🙌🏻

Balfe’s comes out to be the best one from variety, price and quality perspective.
Plus point is, delivery is free and you receive fully assembled bike in A+ protected package.

I need to change the pivot bearings in my frame as the play was monumental.... Stripped it all down myself but couldnt get access to the last piece of the puzzle. Ed had the knowledge to explain to me what had happened, and the know how to explain what I needed to do! A simple fix that could've gone very wrong - fortunately, it didn't! Very impressed with the experience on the whole. Now to crack on with the fun task of removing, cleaning, regreasing and replacing. One happy chappy! 😀 Many thanks again.

I have just bought my first e-assist. During our phone conversations and my emails before deciding to buy, all the staff at Gatwick were patient and helpful.

Keith did my bike fit, and he was meticulous. As well as being friendly and informative.

At no stage did I feel rushed, and I am looking forward to its delivery early next week.

My bike fitter was very thorough and extremely knowledgeable. It was the perfect experience of buying a new bike and leaving the store safe in the knowledge that the fit was perfect and I'd get the most out of the bike.
