Working with Louis and his team has been a really great experience.
We used Baobab Carpentry to design, build and install a bespoke kitchen, utility and bookcases for a study. Louis listened to what we wanted and added his own ideas so that the final design was better than expected.
Louis is calm, professional, knowledgable with an amazing attention to detail and craftsmanship. The end result is stunning bespoke carpentry at a reasonable price compared to high end luxury kitchens.
Instructing Louis was the best decision we made in our renovation and we are already planning our next project with him.

We recently had some built in storage designed and fitted by Louis and his team and I couldn’t be more delighted! I’m not great at ‘vision’ but Louis was so supportive (and patient), going through possible designs and colours with us. We’ve ended up with something bolder than I would have naturally gone for - and I love it! The whole process was seamless and installation was quick and super efficient. I would 100% recommend Baobab Carpentry for this kind of project!

Louis built our kitchen and helped us design every part of it. He kept us informed throughout the building process and asked and advised us whenever there was a decision to make. We wanted a handmade kitchen built to a very high standard, and that is exactly what we have now. The quality of Louis' work is impressive.

We recently had a bespoke understairs storage solution made and installed by Louis. The product, finish and service were brilliant. Louis spoke with us about our wishes and ideas and offered his honest advice, which he undertook both over the phone and in-person when discussing a quote and bespoke measurements. The price was a bit more expensive than mass-produced/off-the-shelf quotes but you get what you pay for and the end product exceeded our expectations, including what we thought might be possible in the space we had. Even my father, who has been in the construction industry for over 40 years, commented on the quality of the build. Louis was always very responsive, friendly and a pleasure to liaise with. We would not hesitate to recommend him and Baobab Carpentry to others.

Wow! Louis has done an amazing job transforming our dark dingey alcoves into the most gorgeous alcove shelving units. Louis’ attention to detail, design abilities, knowledge and carpentry skills are out of this world. Nothing was too much trouble, he communicated quickly throughout the project from initial email, to quotation to design to installation and final touches. We are thrilled and will be using Louis again in the future. (Excuse the photos, will do more when the room is fully dressed!)
