Awful customer service.

Sent an order in 3 parts, the final part was sent in a damaged box, with used and damaged goods.

Images where then sent with multiple phone calls and nothings has been done about it. But with caution! We're currently looking at further action as nothing has been posed to support there failing and no conclusion after chasing for a month!

My wife and I visited many furniture stores before finally deciding to buy from Barker and Stonehouse. Kelly upstairs was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all the sofas. We got a good deal and the sofas arrived on time and as expected. Hassle free service ?

To start with the Sofa and Chair we bought are brilliant and we like it a lot but I guess this is ot down to the Baker and Stonehouse as they did not manufactured it, the store experience was good as you expect when someone wants to sale stuff. The after sale was on the other hand not something you expect, our order was delayed and the communication with the after sale person was so bad that I felt like I am being told off by the teacher, good practice would required to be nice and offer some sort of compensation like free delivery or fabric protection especial if you want this customer to be back... unless you dont care. Then we wanted to double check on the product if we are doing the correct job with attaching the legs ourselves, only half question was answered by sending us a picture of a product from the website, could have done this much myself.

Firstly, free parking is always a good start. The car park is a good size.

Secondly, walking into Barker & Stonehouse I felt like a kid in a candy store. It’s huge. And full of pretty things ?The variety of items is vast, the way it’s all presented is gorgeous. The general decor/aesthetic is spot on. It’s an impressive shop. I saw so many gorgeous sofas, it’s made choosing one very difficult. Shout out to Nicky/Nicki, a lovely saleslady, who welcomed me and helped answer my many questions.

Lastly, the cafe upstairs was a nice touch. I only had a smoothie (Mango Tango, very tasty) but they also had sandwiches and pastries for sale. There was also customer toilets, hugely important when you’ve traveled all the way from Croydon to visit.

I’ve yet to make a purchase so I can’t speak to the after sales service.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Barker and Stonehouse. This entire process has been a nightmare from start to finish.

First, we received the wrong color sofa. Despite multiple complaints, the issue is still unresolved. Then, we received a bench in the wrong color and were told to wait for the table to arrive. The table was supposed to arrive with the gray sofa, which we never received. The entire situation is a mess and utterly unacceptable.

The lack of communication and resolution is extremely frustrating. This has dragged on for far too long, and our patience has run out. I am deeply unhappy with the service and urgently need this resolved. If not, we will demand a full refund.

I cannot recommend Barker and Stonehouse based on this terrible experience.

Just wanted to say thank you to Valentina for the excellent service I received via telephone today. Valentina followed up on a query I had sent across and called me back to see how she could help. I ended up placing the order with Valentina and she was very clear in explaining stock and delivery timelines. Aftercare tips were shared regarding how to look after the marble as well which showed her knowledge of the products. Overall, Valentina’s phone mannerisms and general customer service levels were excellent- extremely positive and upbeat. I had called a few stores to help with my query but Valentina outshone everyone else by a mile! Thank you!

The furniture in this shop is so stylish and so unique. The building is breathtaking with huge open space and high ceilings. The upstairs cafe has great food at a reasonable price. It is very clean and the staff were very kind and helpful. Would recommend for people looking for mostly upper market stunning furniture.

Spacious and well organized showroom/display on two floors. Reasonable quality furniture for sale at reasonable prices. Visited on a Sunday. Fairly busy and the staff were stretched. However, they still offer a professional and friendly service. Commission based pay does make a difference.

Quoted 10 weeks for a set of sofa. A little too long but not unusual, as made to order.

As we were procrastinating and were indecisive, sales staff quickly gave us their business card and quickly moved on. Understandable.
