The Barn Theatre is a small independent theatre that hosts its own productions and receives no Arts Council support. These are all reasons why theatre lovers should visit. It is also a great theatrical space with good facilities and polite welcoming staff.

I was at the Barn Theatre to see "Constellations," an exquisitely acted two hander that was better than good, it was clever also. Recommended!

First visit to Barn Theatre and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although we had a family of crisp eaters behind us, staff were able to relocate us to quieter seats. Staff are fantastic. Definitely recommended watching room 13. Brilliant show with great actors.

The theatre may be small but it is clean, professional and very well managed. Seating provided adequate leg room and acoustics for a live stage performance were very good.

I attended a world premiere of a live stage show, along with an audience that had travelled to enjoy the evening performance.

Whilst small in size (and having had my name ticked off on an attendee list) the intimacy does not feel provincial or downmarket. Adjacent to the theatre are bars and restaurants.

Parking was just across the road and was free.

A highly recommended venue that I feel provided high quality entertainment at an accessible price. Bravo.

Great theatre/cinema space. The toilets are inside the theatre room with a door to get to them. They give you cups for snacks to go in but could have done with a lid and a bottle water or a lid for the tap water.

I have just taken a group of Performing Arts students from Gloucestershire College to see Room 13. It was a fantastic experience for them and I’m so glad that we decided to organise this as one of our enrichment activities. Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Zara and FOH staff for helping us seat a large cohort of students and also to Gareth for facilitating a very informative Q&A with the cast. The quality of the work was outstanding which comes as no surprise! Very much looking forward to future visits!

Small modern theatre in the heart of the Cotswolds, on the outskirts of Cirencester with convenient parking immediately opposite (free after 6pm) and only a short walk to the town centre (probably 7 to 8 minutes).

The theatre is privately run, staff in the main by volunteers (a big thank you to them). We visited one evening in August 2024 to see the performance of Some mothers do 'ave 'em, which promised lots of laughs! It didn't fail to deliver, a small cast who entertained throughout and provided laugh after laugh after laugh.

The lead who played Betty was excellent, she really did have her role and Betty down to a tee. Her timing was wonderful and she really complimented Frank so well - Frank was good don't get me wrong, but if you closed your eyes when Betty was talking it was like being transported back to the 1970s.

The whole performance was set in Frank and Betty's front room, just like the TV series with lots of mishaps, bits of the house falling down due to Frank's poor DIY skills and electrical faults, brought on by Frank's poor attempts to modernise his 'rented' hone.

It really was very good, we both laughed a lot and thoroughly enjoyed the performance. We'll definitely visit again.

We went to the Barn theatre for the first time. It was easy to find with free parking opposite. We had dinner beforehand in Teatro restaurant which was lovely food and wine and a great atmosphere in the outside dining area.
We then saw the production "Midsummer".
This was the best play I have ever seen - intimate, moving, fun, great music and four actors who seemed to be infinitely talented, including musically. Cannot recommend highly enough and looking forward to going again.
