Came in after seeing a sign outside the shop to change an old watch battery, really excellent service- very quick, and informative.
Ali knew immediately the type of battery required and was able to change it on the spot, as we were a little tight for time.
The shop was easy to navigate and very clean, with plenty of options. Highly recommend.

My favourite ironmonger.
Everything is well laid out, the shop is always spotless and gleaming, the prices are marked and the staff very knowledgeable and helpful.
I have been coming here for cleaning products, lubricating oils, paints, tools, lamps, lights, bulbs, wicks, naphtha, chimney flue cleaners, fixtures, fittings and batteries - probably more stuff than that which I've forgotten . . . like really, really long matches!

Anyway, a great shop, a great place to shop and a great way to shop - I'd never get the same service on-line.

I've shopped here a few times and also recently got some work done by Abdi. All very knowledgeable and helpful. Work done was also good and will hopefully last the test of time. Would use again and will continue to use the store for my DIY needs.

Shop keeper is extremely polite and helpful! All staff are full of knowledge about their products in the store and supportive. Recently, in the summer, my husband bought my daughter a scooter. We follwed the instructions yet it kept falling apart! We took the scooter to this shop to see if they can explain where we were going wrong and buy a few bits we felt the scooter needed. The owner, who i believe his name is Ali, kindly explained to us the issue and fixed it! He is outstanding and the customer service in this shop is the best! They are a true asset to barnet high street and we are extremely grateful for their services! The shop is always well stocked and easy to find the things you need! Very reasonable in terms of the price and they tend to have some brilliant offers on every now and then! I am never disappointed and when i cant seem to find what im looking for i am always offered a fantastic alternative which is always just as good!!

Truly excellent key cutting service. The staff were professional and helpful and took care and time cutting and checked everything carefully. The key worked perfectly. Also cheaper and much more professional service than Timpson

The service is amazing and the can-do sales attitude is so refreshing. It is one of those shops where you say to yourself "ooh, i could do with that" or "that is useful/handy".
I recently had some keys cut, but they were not straight forward off-the-peg template keys. However, they were expertly cut and work a dream.
Delighted to have such a shop on my doorstep.

A fantastic addition to our high street. Great range of products, and very helpful service. A recently purchased bulb developed a fault - but I was offered a refund or replacement (I went for the replacement) with no hassle and very good grace by the friendly staff. Will be back.

Barnet Hardware always has whatever we need - garden hose, smoke alarm, hardware of all kinds. We appreciate the helpful service (thank you Ali) and the tidiness of the shop. Everything is clean and beautifully displayed. A great addition to High Barnet. Great to support an independent retailer!
