Visited yesterday. Love this friendly airport. After arrival, we were struggling to get a taxi and the bus was going to be a while so a friendly chap from the airfield dropped us into the harbour area. Very kind of him to do so and also recommend the crab and lobster floating cafe. It was excellent. Fresh seafood does not get a lot more fresh than that. There’s another friendly cafe at the beach and very pleasant wander along the sand and shore with a few boats to watch. We decided to walk back through the town and back to the airfield which was around 30-40 mins amble. Great airport, lovely location, bus service right by the airport and a couple of great food options if you can manage a longer visit.

One of my best airports. Nice hard runway. Plenty of parking. Cheap landing £ 12 for a 2 seater. Pub next to runway serving excellent food. This is a airfield you must visit and the local walks and Bembridge village lovely.....

Great experience and spectacular views landing at Bembridge, with a simple check in procedure and ability to pay with cash or via BACS. (£20 landing fee Piper Arrow 19/07/2024)Runway and grass parking area in good condition.

If you are venturing further than the Propeller Inn, I would recommend a bicycle or taxi. There is also a bus stop outside.

Great aspects flying in and out. Simple 1 mile cut through the woods to get to the very pleasant town. Can recommend the fish and chips in town. The aerodrome pub, The Propellor, is open again and very friendly toward GA operators. Lovely airfield. Good runway.
