I was supplied x2 catalytic converters by a local motor factors from BM and the fit was terrible. Bolt holes with no thread and way off the mark with grooves in random places possibly made by a grinder. Having read previous reviews I thought I would still give them a go. But now I will steer well clear in the future.

I purchased a flex pipe from BM catalysts and it arrived unfinished. The welds that were there were riddled with pinholes. Is there any quality control at all?

Sorry i hate leaving negative reviews however i feel i have too i bought a manifold cat and flexi pipe all in one for a mk2.5 2010 it arrived and looked ok for a after market except for weld splashes all over the manifold where it meets the head of the engine but i managed to knock them off, anyways the cat is a smaller then the original and lining up the bracket nuts is horrendous and that was the start of my issues then the bottom joint to the centre box wouldn't match up i had to use a manifold and exhaust paste to get it to seal, ok i though that's nothing much for the price only to start hearing a hissing and ticking noise immediately after install when i accelerate, i knew straight away it was a manifold gasket leak or so i thought, i have been through 3 gaskets over 3 days of hell as removing these on my car is a nightmare i even pin pointed it to the manifold by holding my hand over the exhaust for as little as 4 secs before it piled out of it, so tomorrow i am removing the full thing which is a full days work by the time i remove the sub frame and attachments just to get it out and put the old one back in which still works its just got a small crack on the flexi pipe and i decided to replace before it starts to blow, i will update my review based on the customer service experience i receive when i try to return this for a refund.

So after removing it today, im shocked to find it wasnt the gasket at all it was the poorly welded effort when i look into the day light there is a pretty obvious hole where it hasn't been welded i will be taking photos and uploading i will also be requesting a full refund through paypal a 1 day job is now 4 days thanks to very poor quality this should not have even pass QC in the UK.
