Beautiful surroundings, and an amazing walk in nature. There are a couple of trails, one much longer than the other, but this is great as it allows you to get different view points of the the deer. There were also several horses on the trail that we walked, and that was also a plus. There is ample parking here which is free of charge, but donations are appreciated. Trails can get muddy so I would advise robust hiking boots, or wellingtons. Trails are mainly covered by gravel so that really helped to make the walk even more pleasurable.

Didn't get to see many deer, but had a lovely walk anyway. Then a drive down the ornamental drive, haven't done that for years. Can't wait to go back again with my granddaughter. And you must get a tea from the mobile cafe in the car park, very clean and very friendly

Free carpark picnic tables available. Coffee van sometimes available in the carpark. Different walks around the sanctuary you can download a guide. Can be muddy in some places away from the paths. The one thing I was disappointed with dog owners not cleaning up after there dogs and if they do leaveing the poo bags on fencing or in the vegetation.

Really nice set up. Good sized parking, coffee / ice cream van, toilets. Three trails to walk through the woods with plenty of trail signs and off track exploration to keep the kids entertained. Lovely area. Didn't see any deer and it was very busy around the car park area and near trails, but wasn't disappointed as it was a good couple of hours of fun exploration.

Nice big car park with toilets, marked trails through the woods and a viewing platform over the road that looks over the deer sanctuary.

Sadly when I was there the deers were quite far away and mere dots in the bracken.

Nice place to visit if you’re lucky enough to get the deers up close.

Beautiful place beautifully maintained. Loved to go thousand times. Got a free guide book when we were there. If you’re a big fan of nature, never miss it. Family safe place, kids and dog friendly as well. If possible pls donate few quids to help maintain the place, but for sure they will never ask you for that, real polite volunteers. No parking fees, but never park in a undesignated parking area. No, they are not so rude to issue a penalty ticket, just will make you feel ashamed with a polite notice.

A magical place!
We didn't plan anything out and just had a long walk around it. Definitely the type of place where you can do this and see so many beautiful things. The deer were absolutely the sweetest but we also encountered wild ponies, wood mice, so many birds and saw so many amazing trees.

The place feels really magical, it really didn't have loads of people but everyone was very friendly and seemed to be enjoying the place as well. They also had tracks for mountain biking if that's your interest.

The facilities were very clean and the staff really cared about the wildlife (we saw a lovely young girl ushering the ponies to the safe places they could safely graze in).

Lovely, definitely reccomend this place for a peaceful magical feeling!!
