I was recommended this hotel by a family member who has stayed here a couple of times; the recommendation was fully justified. I stayed here towards the end of November '24. Sarah and Cathryn are top notch hosts for whom nothing is too much trouble. I travelled solo and my room was scrupulously clean and comfortable with a lovely bathroom and a good shower. Breakfasts were excellent; their Full English defeated even me. I had an evening meal and that too was delicious. Breakfast and evening meals are pre ordered, which is no problem. The hotel is situated on a high position overlooking the lovely town of Lynmouth; unfortunately the Saturday of my visit saw the unwelcome arrival of Storm Bert, but I'm sure neither Sarah or Cathryn could have done anything about this!
One point to mention, as others have done - there are a fair few steps upwards to gain access but, that quibble apart, I can wholly recommend this hotel. I shall certainly be staying again.

I was recommended the Bonnicott by a family member and what a smashing find it was, too. I stayed for 3 nights. Sarah and Cathryn are both top notch hosts and made me feel more than welcome from the get-go, nothing was too much trouble. I was allocated to room 4; plenty of room for this solo traveller. A comfortable bed, plenty of storage and a compact but well appointed bathroom which was perfectly adequate. A good shower too. Everything was scrupulously clean and well maintained. Breakfast, which is pre ordered, is plentiful and beautifully cooked with lots of choice. The 'full English' defeated me! Dinner, again pre ordered, was delicious and obviously prepared and presented by people who know how to give customer satisfaction. The dining room has good views of Lynmouth harbour and the village; during my stay the Christmas decorations went up, very festive! As has been stated elsewhere there are quite a few steps to negotiate but this is the only quibble I can think of.|I would certainly stay here again.|

We have just arrived home from a couple of nights stay at this B&B and we could not fault it. The owners of this hotel were lovely. They were very welcoming throughout our stay, continually made sure we were happy, if we needed anything and we thought the stay and their restaurant was definitely good value for money. The food in their restaurant was of great quality and very tasty. We highly recommend this B&B.

Not our first time at the Bonnicott but returned due to previous excellent service. Catherine and Sarah are just perfect hosts always a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble!|We had a lovely room with Sea View. Very clean and comfortable. An en-suite bathroom with shower, added touches with toiletries cotton wool were very welcomed. We were very comfortable.|Situated very close to Lynmouth town and Harbour.|Breakfast was included and wonderfully cooked we also opted for evening meal which did not disappoint!|I’ve never known hospitality done so well and this place feels like a home from home! Would definitely recommend to others wanting a short break or holiday!|We will be returning!

We stayed here in 2021 for 2 nights to celebrate our golden wedding and vowed to return. 3 years later we returned for another 2 nights for an anniversary stay, again to stay in room 3 with lovely views over towards the sea, a superb four poster bed, comfy seats to look at the view and a well furnished and decorated room. A residents lounge was available to all guests, with a drinks service from the bar next door. Ample seating and books to enjoy this space even if weather was not good an added bonus. Both the lounge and dining room were in conservatories giving excellent views and maximum light.||Breakfast and evening meal is preordered, which not only eliminates waste but ensures very prompt and efficient service particularly as the whole show is run by only Sarah and Cathryn. Both breakfast and evening meal use the best of ingredients and there is an excellent choice. We ate there on the Wednesday evening and both our choices were superb in presentation and taste. Service and cleanliness is without fault.||Provided we still have the ability to walk up the path in our advancing years, we will certainly return.

Cathryn was very attentive during my short break. The service was great and the hosts friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. It was the sort of establishment that screams friendly service and my only question would be why wouldn’t you want to return.|The one tiny issue I had was the entrance to the hotel, there is quite a lot of steps and a fairly steep path to go with it. Anyone younger and fitter than me would have no problem.

I have visited Lynmouth and stayed in many of the Guest Houses in the town. BONNICOTT is the best of them all. Fantastic hosts where nothing was too much trouble and the most comfortable of rooms with fantastic views. Sarah and Cathryn also provide an evening meal which should not be missed. We enjoyed a brilliant 3 night stay at Bonnicott. We had dinner at the hotel on our first evening, cooked by Sarah, which was delicious, as were the breakfasts! Cathryn was a most excellent front of house host, and was very attentive, making sure we wanted for nothing! The location was super for us, but not suitable for wheelchair users, or people who may have difficulty with steps. Our room was lovely and clean, but we did find the pillows a bit firm for us. We really loved the decor and layout of the hotel, and would certainly recommend it!
