A nice place to visit for a look around. The castle is in surprisingly good condition and there is quite a bit to look at. Lovely walk around the castle, taking in Mill Force waterfall. Plan on spending about 1 hour or so here if you take in the walk and waterfall. No information boards (we couldn't find one...)

Access is open to the castle. Interesting ruins with lovely views. Adjacent to the interesting parish church of St Giles.

Beautiful castle with some fantastic scenery in a lovely little village. Wasn't a single other person there when we visited on a Sunday and of course it's free.

Lovely free castle to wander about, views outstanding. Not a lot to do but my husband is a castle nut so off we went . Lovely church yard opposite too for a wander through. Not a full day out but if you can marry up with another place to visit it's worth going.

We are staying just down the road so called in here as I took the dog for a walk.

Not much to see but if you’re into castles you’d find it interesting.
