We felt welcomed in this priory. A local gentleman briefed us about the history of the church and the priory. At the entrance informative leaflets are available. It is worth a visit. Do not forget to donate at the entrance.

Fascinating visit following walk to Halnaker windmill. Didn't realise that the priory was actually a guest house! The nearby church is beautiful with a painted ceiling & stained glass windows.

A lovely place so quiet and peaceful.
Lots of history and old ruins to look at.
The First American to die in the Second World War is buried here
He was stationed at RAF Tangmere just down the road.

Nice place for a quick stop and walk around. The church it's self is small but full of character and the ruins next door make for some good photos. There is a small shop down the road who sell quality local produce at fair prices. There is also free parking.

Access to the Priory is down a small track. Car Park is small. Morning & Evenings are the best time to visit - quiet & peaceful. You can walk all around the Priory ruins. A well maintained site.

After visiting the beautiful Titchfield Abbey we stopped here on the way back to our BnB.
It's a nice little ruin. The Priory was founded over 900 years ago! Even though some parts are collapsed, it's still standing at full height.
There's just a small parking lot. But we were still the only visitors on the sunny summer weekday. Quite surprising. Because it's free to enter, pet-friendly and quite pretty.

And you actually get two sights with one visit: The equally beautiful Priory of St Mary & St Blaise is just next to and still in use. A very pretty priory with a surrounding graveyard. Both the inside and the outsides are free to roam and visit.

Maybe not one of the biggest and most famous sights in southern England, but a very pretty one and well worth a stop.
