I overload my basket as great discounts in store, and then couldn’t get leave in one go, Babs not only helped with the checkout but also got a trolley for me to help me get to my car. Very kind staff

I had a disappointing experience with customer service at B&Q in Barnstaple, North Devon. When I asked a middle-aged staff member for assistance with wood and saw products, her response was dismissive and rude. She seemed visibly unhappy to help, making the whole interaction uncomfortable. If someone is that disinterested in assisting customers, it makes you wonder why they’re working in a customer-facing role. B&Q really needs to address this issue and start training their staff better to improve customer interactions. A little courtesy and willingness to help would go a long way in enhancing the shopping experience.

No matter what you think of the store, just bear In mind that all the staff here are giving up their Easter weekend to ensure you can get everything you need for your house and Garden.
Pleasant environment and much better layout than Wickes, staff friendly and more knowledgeable too.

If the b&q prices give you a heart attack there is a defibrillator outside the shop to the right of the main door .....
I wanted 500mm of 2.5mm twin and earth mains cable , b&q only have big reels of cable , i dont need a 100mtr reel of wire ...
So i will have to look at other shops , on a plus point they did have a single mains socket and back box in stock at a good price

Plenty off parking also disable spaces by the main door. Good selection of most D.I.Y. items..
I would like to see a wood cutting service as this would help people to take home wood lengths ....
Hopefully B&Q. Will take notice..

Good range of products. Well stocked. Good prices. Friendly service. The facade of the store has recently been refurbished which is great. I'm slightly less keen on the new self service tills but I can use them and there is a member of staff available if needed.
