Visited the store to get an ironing board that I have checked online and it was available at the store. I approached Zoe who was at the customer service desk. I asked her to show me which aisle it was. Zoe said they don’t sell ironing board but only ironing board covers. I told her that I have checked online and that it is available, then she said she has never seen an ironing board in the store, they don’t sell it. She was very unhelpful and her attitude was that I was bothering her. I said I have just checked online and it is available. Zoe said it is only available on click and collect. I insisted that I checked and it is correct. She then checked the system and pointed me to an aisle without an apology for misleading me. I asked to her to lead me to the aisle where it is located. She refused and said she will get someone to come and show me. The whole shopping experience was terrible. How can we have someone working in retail with very bad attitude and abysmal ignorance of what you sell in the store. Very rude and disrespectful. Disgusting, I am sure I am not the first who has complained about the Zoe. There is another Zoe in the store, who is elderly and very polite. This Zoe is young and very rude. A shame to the image of B&Q. I returned my product and chose to shop in another non B&Q shop

23.08.24 8:30am , great store friendly and helpful staff , I came in with a scrap of paper full of wood pieces I needed cut the guy was brilliant helped me pick the right wood for the job - helped me load onto the trolley , I was so anxious about asking for the service as no one was at the station , but I did not need to worry everything went smoothly.

The young man I approached this morning to help me purchase a jet washer was so very helpful, informative, advising me which items I needed. I went home very happy and following his instructions I've managed to complete the job.

I hired rug doctor carpet cleaner for 48 hours. £10 deposit. When I returned rug doctor they refused to return my deposit. Despite I asked what should I have when return and I wasn't been told to bring a receipt I ve been told to bring same card. I save receipts. So they say no receipts no deposit back. Definitely do not recommend this place.

Good selection of plants and flowers . But shame the checkout lady who served us didn't have any basic customer service skills ,like a smile or hello was basically rude .

Why is B&Q the only company ever to be full of excuses for not fulfilling an order? I genuinely believe that people who work for B&Q aren't given any customer service training at all because how can you call me at 8am to notify me that no one can get to my order because they need a forklift to get it (a small can of paint)?! So I need to wait another day or wait for someone to call me back to inform me when it's ready for pick up OR the alternative being that they will give me a refund because they would rather lose a customer than (heaven forbid) solve a problem. Despite my order not being ready for pick up why am I receiving an email and a text saying my order is ready?

If this was just a one time issue with B&Q I wouldn't even think of leaving a review but I had purposely not shopped with them for 2 years due to them messing up my past orders and thought maybe they have changed since then. Maybe they have been given training now on how to deal with customers or maybe they have hired new staff who have higher levels of IQ and problem solving skills. But I guess some things will never change.

Not much to say really... nipped to B&Q with my Dad to buy some wood for a project we're working on in the garden. Didn't have time to have a proper wander about like I usually do. Headed straight for the timber section. Friendly staff on the door as we entered. Good selection of wood - although I had no idea it cost so much! Successful trip though. Was impressed with the size of the hot tub jacuzzi they had at the exit... you could fit a whole rugby team in that!
