Completely changed my opinion of B&Q at Dearne Valley Cortonwood Wood. Apparently they can change your order and refund you for part of your paid purchased order without first making sure it’s ok with the customer.
That’s exactly what they have done to me. I ordered 18 boxes of bathroom wall tiles and they sent me 17 because that’s how many they had in store. I was told by a nasty B&Q staff member on the telephone that I had been sent an email showing that they had refunded me for a box of tiles. I wouldn’t have had them delivered had they telephoned me and spoke to me about it.
Be aware of what you order from B&Q they can change your order without speaking to you first.
I have asked for the wall tiles to be collected and I expect a full refund. I won’t be placing another order with B&Q again.

Went in to purchase an Elin blind, that has fitted perfectly for what I needed! 10/10
However I more captivated by the resident Robin that had flown onto the lawnmower racking and was singing away to its hearts content!! I initially thought it was B&Q bringing in piped birdsong but amazed it was the real thing!!

I called at the store at carton wood early this morning got what I wanted and went to the till. I was just stood while the assistant served the person in front. She then proceeded to make a sarcastic remark as to why I had not used the self service till. This is not the first time I have experienced this. Customers can be challenging I know so can some staff this grey haired women seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. Because of this I shall not be using this store again terrible customer service.

I visited B&Q Corton Wood a few days ago.
I don’t usually review but I had such good service and customer care from Jackie on the Vespare paint mixing dept I wanted to acknowledge her. Paint I had mixed was excellent and I returned to purchase more but had a few problems as the system had not saved my colour.
Jackie went above and beyond to sort the problem and my husband and I would like to say a massive thank you for your friendly and professional manner.

We went today to browse bathroom suites and were slightly unsure about a few choices. We were approached by a really friendly young assistant called Mike. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We are much nearer choosing now.

It's a huge DIY store that caters to the building trade too , they also have a lovely garden centre, along with a sizeable kitchen and bathroom display which you can fit yourself or have them professionally fitted, there seems everything from lawnmowers to painting and decorating and just About anything related to DIY or home improvement.

Great store and great services. A special mention to Malcolm who is absolutely fantastic when it comes to cutting sheet wood for you. Absolutely spot on everytime, he is a credit to the branch and to the company. Keep up the good work young man

What a faff about shop. Ordered click and collect via trade point. Go in through the trade point entrance to be told to go to collections at the opposite end of the store. Take the van down as its a big heavy order. Go in and there's a long que of elderly ladies returning items at the collection desk. Get told my order isn't ready yet so I have to wait. Then when it arrives I have to wheel it myself half way down the store to use the middle doors then I'm walking all the way back down the busy car park with all the way back to the van. Whoever thought this layout up wants to get a job designing the next maize maze! I'll stick to screwfix in future.
