I’ve been waiting to write this review, to make sure everything ran smoothly after ordering my kitchen.

I would like to say how amazing the service has been from start to finish by all the staff at the Dewsbury store. I would specially like to highlight the support and effort made from Abdullah! He made my journey run smoothly and made me feel reassured throughout the entire time of placing my order.

Abdullah went above and beyond, even whilst he was not at work and had personal issues ongoing. We had the delivery of our kitchen this week and iv not needed to complain about a single thing.

If you’re looking to buy from B&Q, make sure you’re on the look out for Abdullah as you won’t be disappointed. I hope this review reaches the right place and he is given the recognition he deserves. Thank you Abdullah!

While the B&Q in Dewsbury is convenient, it's definitely a smaller store compared to the one in Leeds. As a result, they don't have the full range of products or services that I've come to expect from B&Q. If you're looking for a wider selection, I'd recommend making the trip to Leeds. However, for basic DIY needs, the Dewsbury store is a decent option.

Don’t get a new kitchen from B&Q. Absolute joke from start to finish. 4hours to do a kitchen design, designed by someone who wasn’t competent in doing the job and wasn’t in the job role long. She started adding all these extra cupboards and cabinets to the design even thought I said it wouldn’t fit but she said it would. On a second measure up they said it needs to be redesigned as the design was completely wrong. When I eventually got the correct design the fitter came and started fitting the kitchen. They tried charging me extra for jobs that needed doing suck as moving pipes etc but I got that overturned due to the original guy who measured didn’t measure properly for these changes. I opted for pull out draw cupboards and they didn’t fit so all the drill holes in the cupboard got covered up by massive boxing in and wasted cupboard space. Corneas for cupboard tops weren’t fitted due to again incorrect measurements so had to have a slim board sit on top of the cupboards just to cover the small space. Plinths were cut far too short which left a massive gap and excuses given was people can get fingers in to pull them off. When I complained and said staff were incompetent in designing the kitchen I had the kitchen manager ring me and say she didn’t like me using that term. I asked what else she would call people who can not do their job? She replied saying if she said I was incompetent and stupid I wouldn’t like it. I told her that would be highly inappropriate as I’m the customer and spending £9K on this small kitchen fit, she then started arguing back with me. I then complained to the store manager who agreed with me and said she was out of order saying that and the amount of money she is paid she should know better on how to resolve these issues. I was told the small kitchen fit would take about 5days. Ended up taking 9days. Workmen gossiped about other B&Q tradesman with bathroom fits and how other people had to rectify the issues. My orders kept getting messed up with deliveries. Was told one delivery would come and ended up having 5. I was constantly getting texts and emails with amendments to my flex account with changes to bill and orders due to B&Q errors! Absolute waste of time and money. I’ll never use B&Q again. I should have taken note from all the other bad reviews

Amazing service from Bilal and everyone we came across when we went to pick up the bbq we were after. Came 15 mins before closing after ringing to check stocks as the online checker wasn’t working, Bilal was so helpful over the phone and when we got there. We didn’t feel rushed when it came to getting all the other things we needed too. Thanks for all your help 🙂

I’ve purchased a ring doorbell on click and collect 1 hour service on Thursday teatime, and another item on home delivery I went into store to collect yesterday (Friday) I have my order number, and everything to say ready all paid and verified, but I can’t have my item the system says it’s not paid. A very helpful assistant helped as much as he could, after seeing all the above. We were on the phone in store for 50mins. I was told it would be looked into and someone would be touch, I had to ring this morning (Saturday) to find out what was happening. I believe that a company as big as B & Q should be able to sort out this problem there and then as a matter of customer service. I will not be using their on-line services again.
