Excellent, helpful amd kind service had by ... I think his name was Keith... he dealt with 2 female customers looking to do some inexperiemced DIY with much respect and absolutely no judgements. This put me so much at ease to be able to ask questions on what equipment would be needed for the work and enjoy the purchasing experience, which I was dreading as not done much DIY with tools. Thank you ... staff are always helpful

The "Good Home" multipurpose compost 5kg suitable for pots, claiming zero pests in it, turned out to be a false claim. After using compost from this pack to repot my Rubber Plant into a larger pot, my house was infested with small black flies. These flies were coming out of the compost non-stop. I tried treating the compost with a diluted hydrogen para-oxide to no avail. It may be better to kill such pest by first soaking the compost in boiling water before use. I have attached an insect trap strip at the bottom of the plant to stop more flies from getting all over the house. See photo.

Check your receipts! Quite a few items are incorrectly priced on the shelf and will come up much more expensive. The shelf pricing is very haphazard and unclear and they will say that you must have been looking at a different label, despite me spending quite a long time examining labels carefully to check out was the price I thought it was.

They also cheekily combine two products together so that you pick it up thinking it is the labelled price and then when they run it through the till they scan it as two separate items. Had this with handle and roller set which was labelled as £10. It was only when checking the receipt that I saw it had been scanned as one item for £10 and another for £12 (so £22 not the advertised £10). When I went back for a refund I pointed out that they were apparently two separate items but that they were physically combined together and hung on a peg saying £10, the lady just said "Yeah, I scanned them as two items".

I had two experiences before I thought of posting this today.
I have had too bad customer services experiences here. Clearly racist, I saw him serve two other customer with greetings and being cordial. I come in and his attitude changes and did not greet me even when I did, ignored it and me completely.
I have never had to write something like this to anyone but this is not the way to treat your customers. I hope atleast the management is not senseless and educate their employees.

On the smaller side here but I always find what I need. Car park is a reasonable size, there is no phone signal here on any network that I’ve tried so use the WiFi or download your voucher codes before visiting.

I was looking for tile adhesive for external tiles, loads of choice, so went looking for help, found 3 assistants by the kitchen design desk having a good old natter, after I politely waited for what felt like ages, and some sideways glances from the team, I was asked if i needed help.
So one went on the radio and told me they don't do external tiles, so I reminded him it was adhesive. He went on again and said no we don't do external adhesive.
I’d seen them but wanted advice, which evidently wasn't forthcoming.
So back to the aisle and a customer helped me. V poor, couldn’t be bothered.

Felt completely upset and angered yesterday when a male member of staff on the paint mixing desk in the Wrexham store told me he wouldn't allow me to buy a base paint without letting him add a colour and mix it.
I told him I needed it as an artist for my paintings and that I had been buying it from that store regularly and I knew exactly what I wanted but still he was adamant he wasn't going to let me buy a half empty tin of paint for £37, the tin is approximately full apart from possibly 2 inches from the top. At that point I asked for the manager and by chance the lady I have seen before happened to pass, she told him to let me have it as there wasn't a problem. After 10 or so minutes off trying to get through to him that I knew what I was doing he finally passed me the tin saying "you had better not bring it back saying its half empty"!! The absolute cheek of the man.
Possibly advise staff that people do need to buy base paint and more importantly to respect their customers wishes and not to treat them like a complete idiot. I don't think the manager would thank him from trying to prevent me making a purchase. I have to drive a near enough 60 mile round trip to buy this and I wasn't going to leave without it!

Popped into B & Q to take advantage of the 10% before 6th and buy paint. The lady on the customer services was so unhelpful and called another guy over who was just as bad. I had a loyalty card at a previous address and before I got married so didn't have it to hand. The guy said I couldn't have another!! He then gave me a card and said go away and do the necessary on your phone, adding we can't help? They were rude and no help. I tried to log on with the card by the entrance but it said B & Q had a fault with their site. I showed them and they both shrugged. They were both a waste if space. My husband still bought the paint, I would not have. Will stick to Wicks in future. We had just been to Huws Gray before and they could not do enough to help us. Come on B & Q get your act together.
