We felt like we could always rely on Pauline to chase things up for us and find the answers we needed whilst selling our house and buying a new one. Pauline made a very stressful time much easier for us and helped us get over many hurdles along the way. We would definitely recommend Bridgfords and Pauline to anyone 🙂

Erin communicates in a timely and friendly manner, has been professional throughout and has always been happy to answer questions. The great customer service Erin provided made warming to the right property easier. A few other viewings from other estate agents were less friendly and warm which sadly put me off the properties. Big thanks to Pauline at Macclesfield for all her help in getting the sale completed. She regularly kept me up to date with how the deal was progressing advising me at every stage what i needed to be doing. Really useful for a first-time buyer who had no idea of how the process worked. All my queries were answered very quickly resolving any issues without fuss. She also liaised with my conveyancer to ensure the legal side of things moved as fast as possible. Really impressed with the service i received from Pauline and would definitely recommend her and Bridgfords

Negative experience unfortunately.

While they sold my house and met their contractual obligations, the communication and service from Pauline was poor.

Close to completion, I spoke to the manager Nicola, evidenced the issues I faced and I offered what I believed to be a fair 80%. Unfortunately she didn’t agree, which meant it was escalated to the ombudsman.
The ombudsman agreed to my 80% “As a gesture of goodwill In recognition of the communication issues faced and visits to my property without prior consent”.

Very disappointed with the service but was more disappointed that the Macclesfield branch would accept no responsibility and see things through my eyes when I tried, amicably, to reason with Nicola and provided evidence. People make mistakes and things happen in business, but she was having none of it and for me it was the principle of the matter.

Based on other Macclesfield positive reviews this may well have been a one off, I’ve purchased before with Pauline and she was great then.
One advice I would give is don’t be afraid to speak up to them - even if they don’t reply to you - it’s your sale, time and money and you have a right to receive good communication. I regret not escalating things earlier in the process.

Thanks for the response. I never said the Property Ombudsman. It was indeed settled by your internal Ombudsman who thankfully saw some sense. Sounds like you are trying to spin that as a positive but I'm not sure why.

I put my house on the market with Bridgfords in April, with the chain finally completing this month. Every step of the way I felt supported and well informed by their team, who were clearly experienced and knowledgeable. Pauline dealt with the majority of my sale, and she was absolutely incredible from start to finish. She kept me calm and grounded when things got stressful, and made me feel like nothing was a problem. Thank you so much for your patience with our sale and purchase!
