I love Bridport Arts Centre as a performance venue, a place for community run projects and as an exhibition space. I am sad that we no longer have a decent cafe and courtyard garden.

We went to the Private View of the Marshwood Arts Awards, which I had entered but not been selected for this year. The venue was very crowded and hot, so we didn't stay long. I was there to look at the competition and much of the work in my category was decidedly weird. I loved the metal head tho. Pic below.

Lovely exhibition titled, What is Beautiful held by Bridport Arts Centre at the Allsop gallery in Bridport which ran up to the 30th September 2023. Based around each individual's interpretation of What is beautiful. Great for the community to get involved with various workshops and a great way for people to experience the visual arts in various different forms. The venue was free to enter, light and airy and I very much enjoyed my visit.

First time there. Went to see a film. Very friendly & helpful staff. Basic seating. As a woman of a certain age, would appreciate some air-conditioning. Nice to have a bar for pre-drinks, alcohol & non-alcohol.

Love the Arts centre, great little venue, only ever been for live music, but I'm sure it's great for everything. Seems to be run by volunteers who have a passion for what they're doing.
Will have a look at what's on and maybe treat myself to something more cultural.
