Raised circular henge. Affectionately cared for by the village community association. A plaque gives information on the history of the henge. Overlooked by nearby Lady Low, Neolithic burial site. Friendly, understated village. Rural village with pretty areas once away from the main A6 trunk road.

It is a shame to think that this historic site has existed for millenia and now gets used as a car park for the local Car Boot sale. Just feels neglected. Is still a fascinating place to visit!

Impressive henge, however, it'magnificence has been stripped and enclosed by the populated area, encroached on all sides. Our visit was defined by the sound of the speakers of adolescent youth.
