I've had Burley Hollywell 9105-C for a couple of years now and I'm very pleased with it. It is easy to use and gives reliable heat. There has been a minor manufacturing fault with a fire brick but Burley immediately offered to replace it without any fuss. Any feelings of trepidation I had when calling to deal with the problem were completely unnecessary - it feels good.

Avoid, avoid, avoid. Appalling customer service. My wife called to discuss issues with our brand new log burner and was met with nothing but aggression, condescension and misogyny. Representative refused to acknowledge what are clear issues and instead chose to simply dismiss everything she said and inform us that it was clearly ‘user error’ and their products are so flawless that there couldn’t possibly be an issue. Astounded by their attitude. Clearly can’t stand behind the quality and performance of their products and manufacturing when their approach to resolving customer issues is to shout them down into submission. Save yourself the hassle and purchase a log burner from a reputable supplier that respects its customers.

We had a Burley Fire fitted about 3. years and experienced a problem with it igniting. Having checked the usual - batteries e.g., we called the installer who are usually extremely efficient managing our plumbing and heating but who were stumped after eliminating all the usual avenues. So I was present when the installer called Burleys direct - and was extremely impressed (as was the installer). a) The phone number was easily available on their website b) The Technical Department extension was answered immediately c) the person answering was completely on the nail, asked some questions, advised the installer to try a couple of options d) one of the options worked straight away. It was quite an unusual fault so not one the installer would be expected to know about. The installer gave a special 'thank you' to the Burley guy for excellent service. As I witnessed it, I wanted to pass on my thanks too - this was what service used to be about and it was fantastic to see it still exists. Hats off to Burley after-sales service.

Terrible stove. Door went out of shape within 2 years, they wanted £300 for a new door....the door also has no adjustments If you want to talk to someone at Burley, you can’t. They have no customer service phone number only fax. What does that tell you about them! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
