I've been in-store before and the team are absolutely lovely x Today I ordered online as a pick me up since I've had a rough time lately, and when I opened the bag I noticed the team had included something extra with a note on it as a random act of kindness! I thought this was incredibly sweet and lovely, and it honestly made my entire afternoon ❤️❤️☺️

Used to be good when it’s first opened with a good selection of quality cup cakes, brownies and cookies. Recently they have increased the prices and the quality has reduced massively, which isn’t a great combination. You can see they have opened up a lot of stores throughout the midlands and have tried to limit their menu to reduce their operating costs to compensate for this along with reducing the sizes and quality of the items which now are all greasy doughnuts. Weird atmosphere in store too with all the menu monitors and lights turned off. Probably another way to reduce costs and save money. Wouldn’t be surprised if this place shuts down within the next year.

My 91 year old Dad had a nasty fall outside this coffee shop this yesterday afternoon and the young lady I don’t know her name but she is pregnant and she was amazing and kind and helpful and made my dad and my self a lovely coffee and sat him down so he could recover from his shock
We can’t thank her enough when he is feeling better we will definitely go back and sample some of the cakes and if the owners read this please say a big thanks to her she is such a lovely person xxx

This place started off strong, I’m not really sure whats happened. When it first opened the range was broad and varied, so broad I would visit weekly, you would have pop tart cookies, vivid cartoon coloured homer donuts filled with icing to the point that the center hole became a sugar filled paradise and fat slabs of birthday cake. Now? The monitors installed in Harborough are always switched off, the store is dark, the staff constantly changing as if they can’t keep anyone. I went in to get a few treats for people only to be met with donuts and not much else, decided to fall back on the Homer Donut as everything else looked a bit sad - it was no longer a vivid pink (I feel natural ingredients will be the excuse here and not diluting the recipe), the icing applied economically and not as liberally as recently as even a year ago. No fritters, the billionaires shortcake replaced with the Cozzie Livs wedge. The donut icing half evaporating on the walk home.

Sadly the eagerness to make this a Midlands chain has killed its independent pastry based generosity. I’ve stopped giving them as gifts now as I keep having to apologise “yeah sorry this place was pretty good a few years ago”.

Plenty of better places in Harborough, go Garage Bakehouse, they focus on quality hence the biblical queue on weekends, or if you want a chain experience there is always Greggs and it won’t cost £3.50 for a disappointment… just £1.

Adopt don’t shop or something, I forgot what point I was trying to make.

Bonus: I went in today to get a cappuccino for my mum but I backed out, the guy at the till looked bewildered like he’d just been asked to perform brain surgery on his own mum and he’d skipped that class. I didn’t want to burden him with a coffee order.

Absolutely phenomenal cupcakes, doughnuts and slices! I had heard great things about the Corby Butterwick and when Butterwick opened their Harborough branch - I knew a visit was a must.

Lovely looking bakery, but rather pricey!
Some cakes are better value than others, I think £3 for ANY cake is a dodgy pricing strategy.
Ordered the Snickers Cookie Sandwich, tasty but didn’t really resemble a snickers and was a bit dry. Needed a layer of caramel to really make it something to talk about!
Overall, really friendly staff and the milkshakes look epic but rather expensive for what they offer

Went in to butterwick Bakery In Harborough town today for a hot large Mocha and a strawberry frappe. Didn't go as planned, The mocha wasn't a mocha it was coffee, the strawberry wasn't strawberry it's was disgusting with chocolate powder clearly thrown over the top and looked like a complete mess.
Usually this place is so good and the staff are well enough to do job but this time the staff seemed to not care and the trainee was clearly not that good.

Since the train station has opened I'll admit the customer service at butterwick hasn't been as good as it was since it first opened.
Disappointed is an understatement.
