So I fitted my own gates approximately 3-4 years ago because I couldn’t find a reliable gate engineer. I’ve had no issues until this week when the gates refused to open correctly. I called over 5 different companies and Capitan were the only one to get back to me on the same day. They took the trouble to message me out of hours to advise on the situation. A few WhatsApp messages and a video of the gates work (not very well) and they advised it was a ground box issue. I investigated this and found a damaged wire. A couple of connection box’s later and they are working better than ever. Capitan wouldn’t accept any payment for the advice (which I feel I owe them). In a really difficult work of fate engineers these guys stood out massively. Thank you 🙏

I am absolutely thrilled with the quality and level of service provided by James from Capitan Gates. We had a bespoke aluminium sliding gate made and fitted by this company. It has been fitted with full automation and an intercom which was integrated into our home automation system. James was on hand from start to finish. We did have a couple of hiccups but they were dealt with swiftly which is the sign of a good company. I also want to thank the gate engineer from Capitan who spent a lot of time getting the electrical mechanisms right and the final product looks amazing and provides us with the extra security we wanted. Capitan gate company are not the cheapest but with anything you pay for the quality and service and in that regard they are absolutely value for money. Update 14/05/25 - we had a problem with the gate due to a technical issue and James arranged a technician to come out and fix it and re-spray the gate at no cost to us. This is 2 years later. Such a great company and service.

We’ve been absolutely delighted with the quality of service and professionalism provided by Capitan Gates. Our bespoke 7m sliding gate required listed building consent and the team at Capitan were there to help guide us through the process. We are thrilled with the results and the attention to detail that Capitan were able to provide.
