This was our first time at Chacewater Park. Lovely, quiet and relaxing. So good we stayed an extra week. We were lucky with the weather. We had a serviced pitch on the Chapel part of the site. Brilliant dog walk which our two collies loved. We even found the pixie door! Showers and toilets spotlessly clean. Washing machine and dryer which came in very handy. Newspapers can be ordered. Small shop and dvd swap which came in useful. Owners are lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The grounds are kept immaculate. In fact it was so good we are booked in again for next year for even longer, can’t wait.

Liked: This site is lovely, quiet and calm, with a fantastic dog walking field. You wouldn't have really known how many dogs were here as they all seemed relatively well behaved. Ie no dogs barking all night long. We stayed for 3 nights. Toilets and shower room clean and tidy. We had upper hard standing pitch and it has plenty of room. Supermarkets nearby and we enjoyed a day out at lappa valley railway too.
Highly recommend this adult only site.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: This campsite was lovely, the facilities were very clean and we loved that the showers were single cubicles with shelves and a bench for your stuff. We had a great view of the mining chimneys to look over each evening! It is very exposed so we provided the other campers with entertainment trying to erect the awning when we arrived!
There was a very warm welcome waiting for us when we arrived and were shown to out pitch. The little on site reception is cute, full of books and even has gas canisters for swapping which is super handy.
The dog park is lovely, very nice to walk around with the hounds and very secure. You can pick up a footpath out the back via a gate but you have to look hard for it!
Things to do which we found:
Pick up the Coast to Coast walking trail (google mining trails), head in the direction of Twelveheads via Todpool which is a footpath out the front entrance. Its all very flat and there are 2 cafes along the way. We got on a bus at Devoran to Truro, had a coffee and then bus back to the campsite. There is also a viaduct to walk under along the way, just watch out for cyclists as its very busy!
We had 2 dogs in some very hot weather, we walked around Kennall Vale Nature Reserve as its an old Gunpowder mining site in a forest with a lovely river - highly recommend as it kept the dogs very cool!
We would definitely recommend and will more then likely be back!

Five week stay in August/ September. Friendly team, well kept facilities and a properly dog friendly set up with a separate field for off lead walks. Perfect for our stay, central location in Cornwall so lots of things to do if you want to go exploring. And if you don't, a lovely quiet adults only site ? thanks everyone for our lovely stay.

Liked: Having stayed at this site last year, we decided to book again for a second year. It was really lovely, peaceful and quiet. The owner greeted us as we arrived at the entrance and showed us directly to our pitch. We were set up in no time. It’s a lovely site , central to most attractions in Cornwall.
I would definitely recommend this site for people that would like a peaceful break at very reasonable prices. We will definitely come back in the future.

Liked: We had a lovely spacious pitch with good views (not overlooking a neighbouring pitch). The site was well kept and the cleanliness of the shared facilities was good. Again the dog walking field was well attended and staff were friendly and helpful. We had a good stay.

Liked: Friendly welcome to this adults-only site. Very peaceful. Facilities are good. Although the toilets & shower block are ‘dated’ they are impressively clean. Lots of hot water. All the owners/ staff we met were very friendly. There is a huge meadow for dog walks which we loved. Our pitch was serviced & the grounds are well managed.

Disliked: Nothing at all.

Liked: Chacewater is a lovely clean park, the showers and toilets are cleaned daily and are fresh, they also have laundry facilities which again are immaculate. two lovely ladies greet you in reception and honestly go above and beyond! We had to call one night we had an issue with our electric and they were straight over to help! There’s also a nice guy to show you over to your pitch… he actually pushed our caravan into place he really was a big help! We had the perfect spot for sunsets lots of space and privacy, each pitch has its own tap and waste drain there are bins scattered around which are regularly emptied! The location is also fantastic as it’s only a stones throw away from Newquay, Falmouth, Truro and Bodmin we were there for 10 days so had chance to explore all of these beautiful spots in Cornwall, there’s a couple of great pubs nearby, shops are not far there’s lots of supermarkets close too! the electric does say it’s metered but honestly you have an amount issued at the start of your stay and this is more than enough! There’s a lovely fish and chip van which comes on a Wednesday which is cooked nice and fresh and honestly it’s these little touches that make your holiday! Definitely the best touring park we have been to and 100% we will be back!!

Disliked: That we hat to go home 🙁
