Booking for 4, entered downstairs into a low lit and practically empty gin bar (it later filled out though!)
Very helpful and friendly staff got us seated and gave lots of advice on gin selections, although we are very well inducted into the flavours.
Always open to trying the new ones, we plumbed for the Five Whitley Neill gin selections.
The stand out is the bacon and horseradish - a big marmite moment - sorry, but it didn’t win me over!
If you’re after an off the street place to socialise give it a try

This is thoroughly recommended. We did a distillery tour here with my parents, so there were four of us. I think the limit on any tour size is 10 so it is quite intimate and there a lot of opportunity to ask questions. The presentation was really interesting with some great historical content and the tasting was very informative. The presenter/host was very knowledgeable and able to answer all the questions the group put to him.

As for the tasting itself, well they were very generous indeed with the portions . These weren't forced down you at all, so you could just have a teeny sip and move on but if, as we did, you finish all the samples, then expect a fair degree of squiffiness !

As usual there is an opportunity to buy the wares afterwards and the prices in my opinion were quite competitive. Lots of goodies given away as well.

So all in all a really good experience that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a gin !

We attended a gin tour lead by Welston and it was a great experience. A very informative tour with the opportunity to try four gins (beware of navy strength 😵‍💫). Very enjoyable experience and we learnt lots of new knowledge about the history and distilling of gin. We also enjoyed the bar after, having a few more gin and tonics! Would definitely recommend.

We attended the Gin Making Class at City of London Distillery on 6/21 and it was FABULOUS! I’ve actually attended several other such classes and this was in the top 2. Luke, both our bar man and instructor, was both engaging and knowledgeable. There were three of us in the class and we produced profoundly different gins, each of which was delicious and to the makers particular tastes. The bar, itself, is also a fun place to explore the wide range of Whitley Neil flavored gins with expert guidance. 10 out of 10 - definitely recommend!

We went for a gin tasting experience and tour. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The venue has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The experience included a welcome drink and 4 tasting different gins with tonic. Good value for money. 5 stars all round.

We stopped by this distillery after a long day of walking around the British Museum and Westminster. The bar treated us extremely well from the second we entered the door, and the basement atmosphere was cool and refreshing. The drinks we tried were amazing! They have a ton of varieties so you will certainly find something you like. The staff did all they could to make sure our time here was enjoyable. All around, this is an excellent bar to visit.
