Very modern branch of Brewer's Fayre nextdoor to Premier Inn, Cockermouth. The food and service here were excellent. I would suggest avoiding this place at peak times if you don't want your ears screamed off as when we went there were a lot of kids present that were grizzling. But that was a Friday night, so you kind of expect that on busier evenings. They also offer Blue Light card holders a 25% discount on the food and drinks.

This is a good place to eat if you’re staying in the Premier Inn next door, and don’t fancy spending too much or making the trip into Cockermouth after a busy day. I found the tables to be well distanced from each other and I liked that the restaurant was generally quite quiet. The food is inexpensive for what it is. The meat is nice, especially the mixed grill. The chips had obviously come from frozen, but the sweet potato fries were nice. The vegan burger was passable, and the drinks were cheap. The side salad didn’t look great though. They also do refillable soft drinks which is good. Unfortunately they are suffering from a lot of supply chain issues. Because of this, large portions of the menu were listed as being unavailable. And, even when you chose something listed as being available, they sometimes weren’t available. This is disappointing. However, I’d recommend the cookie s’mores dessert and the lasagne, as they were relatively tasty.

Stayed in the Premier inn, the pub was pretty much empty most of the time. We booked for food for new years eve. 3 hours before we were due to eat we received a phonecall to say they had no chef and therefore no food. Ended up with a dominoes. This pub has gone down the drain..1 year ago it was atmospheric with lovely staff, something has gone wrong and I advise avoid.

Absolute shambolic, waited an hour and half for food to arrive but not as bad as table next to us which took 2. One person serving at the bar so 20 minutes to get a drink. Food arrived and no sausages or tomato on my mixed grill, we ordered fish and chips and was charged an extra £1 for bread and butter which was not a problem just would have been nice to get it. All very young staff doing their best but clearly chucked in the deep end and there was clearly a lack of any management to implement any control.
Will we come back, no chance

No atmosphere, air conditioning was blowing cold. Waited what seemed like a life time for food,my partners burger looked like a McDonald's happy meal it was that small. No check back we left with our plates still on the table. Luckily we were visiting from Yorkshire so won't be calling again.

Stopped off here after a run out, was lovely and clean and looked fairly new, we ordered food at 12:15 and did not receive it for 40 minutes, we had to ask where our food was, the excuse given was they where waiting for the eggs to be fried, when our meals came the plates where hot the food was just warm, I had a mixed grill with a really chewy steak and slimy top eggs, is it that hard to flick a bit of hot oil over the yoke?, my mother had a sirloin steak as it was her birthday a few days ago and this was her treat, it came bright pink in the middle and was more medium than well done, she managed to eat the majority but was not happy, we will definitely not be going there again

Entered to be greated with a sign saying saying to wait here to be seated. Waited almost 10 minutes for anyone walking past us or anyone serving on the bar to even acknowledge us.
In hindsight we should have just walked out before then but the kids were hungry so we persevered.
We were finally shown to a table under freezing cold air con with slug trails on the carpet (they were probably attracted to the chips nobody had bothered to pick up).
We ordered food which took over an hour to arrive and it was grim at best.
The woman that introduced herself as restaurant manager was incredibly patronizing when we brought everything to her attention, her insincere use of calling us darling was cringeworthy.
