72 feet high and England's tallest Smock Mill overlooking the medevial town. It's free admission and it's worth a visit. There are over 80 windmills in the whole of England. I'm glad to discover this place. You can even buy flour as a souvenir.

Rare example of an immaculately maintained working windmill that is accessible to the public. Stands majestically in the town centre in a fabulous setting and a historic town. It’s rarely open so if you want to go inside check out the opening hours beforehand.

I bring all my visitors here if possible. Fascinating history and the volunteer guides and millers are true enthusiasts. It's free but please leave a donation for its upkeep.

We dropped in as we were camping near by, what a wonderful windmill and the staff made you so welcome and answered all that was asked about the mill, and on some days you can see it working, it's free to view but please make a donation it's worth it.

Even though I have lived locally for 2 years this was my first visit and it was so good. I will be sure to take visitors there. Amazing volunteers who run it and explain everything, super knowledgeable. Check their website for opening times. We visited on a bank holiday. There is no entrance fee but they ask for donations.
