I recently bought a pair of glasses from DD Optical, am over the moon with them. They have so much choice and the prices are really reasonable. I’ve only just started wearing Varifocals and ordered a pair online. I was really pleased with them as I had nothing to compare them to.

I bought some Ray Ban Meta glasses and so wanted to get some good varifocal transition lenses.

Rather than just look at my prescription and order the lenses, they measured the frames on my face, checked distances etc to make sure they were spot on.

When I got the lenses, they were heavier than the previous ones and so sat lower on my face. Moving the glasses a couple of millimetres made all the difference.

Normally, it would just be a matter of heating and bending the frames slightly but because of the electronics in the frames this couldn’t be done.

Without me even asking, they said that they would make new lenses and make sure they were right.

When I got my final lenses, the difference from the online ones was incredible. I don’t even notice the difference from near to far.

The difference that proper measurement and fitting makes is worth every penny.

Was referred here by a friend and I am very glad i was. The service was excellent. The people there are experts in their craft and they go out of their way to help you and ensure your needs are satisfied. The prices are much more reasonable than high street opticians who overcharge and mess you around. However here there is no messing about and fast service. I ordered a pair of transition lenses in prescription yesterday (02/04/24) and they were ready and done today (03/04/24) whereas at my real opticians I ordered standard prescription lenses about 5 days ago and i haven’t heard anything since. I will definitely be coming back and I wholeheartedly recommend D.D Opticals to everyone.

Been here 3 times now. Always so friendly and helpful. Great prices and fantastic aftercare. Nothing is too much trouble. My husband wanted new sunglasses but wanted glass lenses instead of plastic. After a few phone calls to source the glass lenses, the frames were picked and will be ready within a week.

I've used DD optical on many occasions. The quality of lenses from here are unbeatable and at a very fair price especially for genuine transitions. The customer service is impeccable and I will continue to use these over high street opticians which rip you off and offer poor value for money. I went to DD Optical Ltd this afternoon as I needed new lenses fitted to my glasses. Paul dealt with my requirements. He answered my queries in a friendly and detailed way. He contacted me a few hours later to say that my glasses were ready for collection. They were like new and the cost was very reasonable. Wow after 25 years of using a high st Optians in Blackpool I have just found this unique place that cares for you as a customer. Who can offer you a choice and at fantastic prices. They can help you design your frames and choose the right lens just for you personally.
