DGS Fabrications have recently fabricated and installed some steel balustrading along the edge of a raised terrace in our garden. The design of the balustrading was ours, with an art deco influence, but it was tweaked by DGS with my approval for improved constructability and enhanced appearance. Communication was excellent throughout the design and fabrication process. The end product, galvanised and powder coated in red, is great and adds another landmark feature for our open garden days. Needless to say we are very pleased.

I was recommended DGS fabrication for my steel work on an extension. Unfortunately I won’t be doing the same, they made a fundamental error in calculations that resulted in 4 steel posts being too long. They refused to take responsibility for the error, claiming we normally send out measurement confirmations to be signed off, but they didn’t this time and they couldn’t explain why!
They then refused to rectify the error without payment, they turned up on site with no access equipment and no prior notice, then threatened to charge me for their time!
They tell untruths, are dishonest and from quote to invoice the bill went up by £1500. How can this be when quoting from structural engineers drawings.
