I've been using D Parker & Sons for years now. I've never had a less than perfect product. Really reliable, friendly and knowledge. If you haven't already then I recommend a visit, give the sausages a try, you're missing out!

I wanted to write a review to comment on the gorgeous sausages from Parkers. They are simply unlike anything from a supermarket. They are huge for a start and the flavours are terrific. With 3 children who are home at different times being able to buy exactly the amount of sausages or chicken that I need for a meal means there is no waste and the value is excellent. Do note that 6 supermarket sausages are probably nearer to 3 or 4 butchers sausages and so you don't need so many. They are also able to package up your order so you can freeze in portions so again no waste. The home delivery also saves me a trip. I can't speak highly enough of them. It is so nice to be able to shop locally and support small businesses.

Not recommended.
I visited the shop approx 2 weeks ago having discussed and preordered and prepaid for 21 day matured rib of beef. This was a festive meal which was for a special occasion which is why I did not mind paying a high price for the meat.

Unfortunately, I did not get the opportunity to inspect the joint as had I know it was not a rib of beef, I would not have purchased this. A boned rib of beef should not be rolled together and fall apart after being cooked medium rare.
I have spent time before speaking to other butchers but because this butcher was open and local and had good reviews and having spoken to them, I thought they would understand what type of joint I was looking for. A rib of beef should look similar to a large lamb chop in shape and should not be cuts of beef rolled together, it should be one whole cut.

The joint did not cut well and instead of allowing slicing with a carving knife, it decided to fall apart into 3 separate chunks to be cut, leaving me with 1/3 slices.

It is a very poor quality joint for the money and was not very flavoursome although it did retain some moisture.
I expect better quality meat from a butcher's than I would get at a supermarket, as I could have spent this money at a supermarket for a nice joint.
Will not be using this butchers again.

Fantastic service from this family butcher. Christmas delivery received first thing this morning all well wrapped and labelled. Turkey giblets already boiled up into stock so I can get a head-start with the stuffing. Thanks to Dan and all the team who have worked so hard, not just this week leading up to Christmas but throughout this difficult year, to keep customers supplied and always with good grace and an all-important smile and good humour.

I grew up around the corner from Parkers. My parents bought their meat there. Now fifty years later I make trips from Worcester Park to buy my sausages in bulk. They make the best sausages. The owners are very helpful and really know their produce. Well worth the trip for quality meat.

I've been ordering from Parker Butchers for many years and I must say that the quality of their products is 1st class! They are very polite, friendly extremely helpful, advice me when I'm not sure and suggests the best options, always able to provide and deliver what we request even when weve ordered at the last minute. No order is too small or too big! Very efficient, good delivery time.

I'm currently in Lockdown with 5 children and can not get a delivery slot form a supermarket for love nor money. I lost my job due to lack of childcare with the schools closed so financially I'm struggling and topping up food from my local convenience stores was just costing me a fortune.

So I reached out to D Parker and Son with a plea of help. I explained my situation and my budget and they recommend their Budget Boxes. I ordered two which is more than enough to feed all 6 of us for 2 weeks. Then the lovely butcher even recommended a company I could order some vegetables and fruit from online to help me further.

The boxes were delivered to my door with in 2 days. The meat came in vacuum packs for easy storage and the quality of the meat is by far the best I've ever had.

I couldn't thank this butchers enough for coming to my rescue during lockdown and making the whole experience from ordering to delivery a pleasure.

I will continue to order our meat from this butchers after lockdown is over.

I highly recommend D Parker & Son.

On Sat, 5 Dec 2020 around 12-1pm, I rang two local butchers to order a turkey crown for pickup on Sat 13 Dec. I was cooking an early Xmas dinner for an immunocompromised friend whose bubble we were in and who had only rarely been out of her house since March 2020.

I remember the date and time so precisely, as the contrasting responses of the two butchers, struck me so vividly. particularly as I wanted to make the meal special for my friend. The person at Bashford & Co, whom I had used on other occasions, was quite dismissive telling me "There's no way you'll find a turkey crown now. Not until closer to Christmas and even then it may be a struggle." D PARKER & SONS, by contrast, who I had never used before told me that he would find me one... and he did. I was mega impressed by his attitude and his product delivery... He's know my first point of call when I need a butcher.

(I've been meaning to write this review for ages but things got a bit crazy. However, I was so impressed with them I didn't want to let the matter drop and figured I'd waited so long initially, I'd time my review to this Christmas)
