We have a new build house and did not buy direct from DAD. However when the integrated fridge freezer developed a fault after two years we claimed on the guarantee. The after sales service has been excellent and we had a replacement as soon as was possible. We were concerned that it may not be the same size as the model we had was no longer made and would be difficult to fit. However DAD manage to source an alternative which was very similar and fitted it for us. I can not fault the service at all.

Appliances ordered on friday delivery was meant to be within a few days but not for nearly a week. Driver never turned up, sat looking out window. Rang company and they drivers lied and said he's knocked, now can't deliver again until next week. That'll be 2 weeks I'm stuck without a washing machine and cooker, I have a child and have already lost a day's pay as self employed, for no reason. Despicable service!!

DAD have turned into the WORST appliance distributor ever. Firstly ordering: If you can actually get a delivery booked in, you're lucky the van turns up on the day its meant to. You are even luckier if the stock isn't unloaded already muller'ed. And that is assuming what you have ordered has actually been correctly picked/loaded. I think in the last 25 deliveries, 3 have been problem free. And then theres the returns farce. You have to pay up front for a replacement, before they will collect anything damaged, failed on install or faulty in warranty. And good luck if you bought special deal products from beko or hotpoint that was refused stock by currys or john lewis, because the manufacturer wont initially touch it under guarantee, and then you have another fight on your hands.

I have now amassed a collection of FUBAR goods equivalent to £2500 of credit from LG, Gorenje, Montpellier, beko and hotpoint that DAD literally bury their head over, make excuse after excuse about not receiving uplifts, and then eventually refuse to issue credits for once the timespan has surpassed 6 months.

I have been dealing with the company for a long time, initially they were good - had a wide choice of brands and allowed competitive pricing against the sheds, but now they sell to the sheds, and often a special priced deal to me at the start of the month then becomes a stock disposal deal on appliance direct 3 weeks later, who will then flood the market at my buying price.

I don't think I have met anyone in the trade who can say a good word about this outfit, and after the appalling way I was promised last week stock that i had been allocated would definitely be delivered this week (because it couldn't be done earlier because lo and behold their van was apparently full) for a landlord but then being told today it had been cancelled because it had not been taken, and if i wanted it still my order was going to cost me £108 more, i felt thoroughly conned. I will only be using them as a final resort where other distributors cannot supply, and to be honest, the choice is so poor now, that wont be very often!

PS 1 star ONLY because i have to, to post this!

Horrible service, facilities for drivers are a disaster, toilet is a bio hazard, very dirty and no soap and toilet rolls, the place is just a disgrace! I saw cleaner places in a pig farm!
