Had a lovely quick lunch at the Old Spot within Daylesford with a walk around the shop afterwards, during the week.

Now realistically you don’t go to Daylesford for a “cheap” outing. It is what it is, posh but welcoming. You’re paying, knowing that the food you’re eating has either come from their farm or from other sustainable sources.

We had two pasta dishes which were decent main size portions with fresh juice and a delicious flat white. Saved pudding for some treats bought in the shop.

Can't wait to go back!! Granted, it's all out of my price range (and the restaurant menu is a little pretentious) but it's well worth the trip. The BEST farm shop I've ever been to, probably one of the best SHOPS I've been to. Even my 14 year old was impressed. Also great for people watching, there's people from all walks of life.

A must visit for anyone near Moreton-in-Marsh! We happened by on bicycles on a Saturday, and found the placed MOBBED by traffic. Little wonder. What a find!

Daylesford Organic is a farm, a market, and multiple restaurants. It also comducts cooking workshops, provides massage & spa services, and more.

This review is primarily about The Trough, their sit-down service restaurant. We were lucky to be seated right away on such a busy day (there was a queue at the reception desk). Food was sublime, and everything sourced from the nearby farms. Truly farm-to-table.

We had the Corgette & fennel soup (mmm), Salad with chicken added, Skillet-baked goat's cheese (OMG unforgettable) & Chocolate torte. The service was attentive and friendly despite how busy the place was, the ingredients were supreme in quality, and the preparation innovative.

We discovered afterwards that there was a pizza & pasta only outdoors restaurant, and a sumptuous counter of take-away foods. Since we were only looking for a quick bite while on a bike ride, these others might have been a better option. But boy we were not sorry to having opted for The Trough!

The photos include shots of the market & take-away counters as well as the pizza prep area. All the food prep areas were open for all to see. What a gorgeous celebration of farm-to-table. I wish I lived nearby!

Recommended to us by a British friend with good taste as "not to miss" as tourists.
We loved it.
Great style. Fantastic salads.
Seems the UK is leading the world with garden centers as attractive multi-purpose destinations.

Renowned country lifestyle resort with various shops, restaurants and bars. It's a really nice place however it's expensive and many product prices are over the odds. The deli products in many cases come from abroad; this includes crisps from Spain and apple juice from France.

Good food, great vegetarian selection, although would expect slightly better quality for the prices charged.

Panzanella was pretty much standard with only one type of tomato, although the shop sells a wide array of multicoloured tomatoes. Beetroot and quinoa salad, again needed to be lifted to another level, with another addition, maybe feta.

Cheese tart was amazing and full of flavour. Black garlic hummus had no garlic flavour and was fairly bland. Service was excellent on a busy day.

Very popular and busy. Quite a lot to take in, food on offer looked good. Just missing more areas to enjoy a coffee in the outdoor seating.

I attended a floristry event at Daylesford, which included lunch. I would highly recommend it - our tutor, Lesley, was full of tips and tricks to help make a stunning and lasting flower arrangement, spending the day with her was a real joy. The lunch was delicious! P.s. Both my creations are still beautiful a week later, the quality of the flowers is amazing!
