Just joined with Dobbies plus club garden centre membership back in summer this year, so I went in to get my free two hot drinks for September, where I got a cappuccino for my family member and a mocha for myself. I usually visit more than more than 5 different garden centres a year in various locations and this branch has the worst mocha of all time including my numerous visits around the country to find the best of the top mocha cafe’s in UK! This dobbies only simply added two T spoons of choc powder and added hot water then added hot milk from a small machine then mixed in coffee powder to hand me over a ‘mocha’ made of mixing hot chocolate and Luke warm coffee! The staff food assistant literally said to me ‘your hot chocolate and a cappuccino is ready to take away!’ the taste was bland and I went back to check if it was mocha and they said it was but when I received the drink the lady said it is hot chocolate and a cappuccino! I do not understand how they cannot tell the difference between hot chocolate, mocha and coffee! the taste was just two t spoons of coco powder mixed into a bland coffee. you can clearly see the photo I took and it doesn’t even look like a hot chocolate that I’d get from a local cafe where I live! My toddler cousin can make a better hot chocolate for me! My home hot chocolate is much milkier than theirs. Overall extremely disappointed with the whole experience, although the garden centre staff were helpful and managed to answer all my queries without a single issue. I assume this garden centre just is trying to cut costs down but even so they charged me £12 extra two free coffees per month and a discount on hardy plants. Will have to see what their plants are like then I shall upload another review update on the overall garden centre. I was told the plants are in alphabetical order but once a staff had a look through a plant that I asked for she was shocked to see that it never was in alphabetical order herself!

Unfortunately the shop is in need of a complete upgrade.
We visited after
heavy rain the shop was flooded with water, some of the items on the shelfs were very wet.
The cafe was well stocked but the seating area outside is in need of a good clean.
The flowers outside were nice.

Lovely selection of plants, home and garden items but rather expensive!

Edit: I completely forgot to say how helpful the staff were! Being a gardening newbie, I wasn't sure which plants were suited to different rooms of the house, or which outdoor plants were annuals/perennials, but two different members of staff went out of their way to help me ☺️

So, not a cheap visit but our garden looks lovely now and the plants are thriving!

The restaurant staff are abrupt and bordering on being rude and it's not that busy. Cutlery and glasses are dirty overall could do with a manager that can instill some sort of pride in their staff

Went for Sunday lunch with mum and dad, they both had turkey roast dinner, I had jacket spud.

Dad is a bit of a fussy eater but loved the roast, as did mum. Mine was tasty too.

Really good value and tasted lovely.

Pleasantly surprised.

Stopped in here for lunch unexpectedly.
Staff great in the cafe, lovely choice, good menu, everything fresh, and food was delicious. Easy parking, will definitely be back.

We visited on Monday lunchtime. Large car park and brilliant cafeteria with excellent menu. Following lunch we spent time browsing around the various displays. All in all excellent.

My visit yesterday was superb. All staff throughout the garden centre, cafe and even in the checkout tills were so kind and helpful. All flowers and plants beautiful. Also the prices were great. Would thoroughly recommend ?
