We hired Upstairs at Dodworth Tap on a Sunday for my baby shower, with catering for 50 people. The venue itself is beautifully finished. The food was lovely and there was barely anything leftover which is always a good sign.
The owners and staff are lovely, friendly people. The baby shower started at 12 noon but a few of us got there at 10.30am to set up early. The final stragglers left at 17.30pm and there was no pressure or ushering us out (even though we had very likely overstayed our welcome).
Everyone was very complimentary about the beautiful venue and the lovely food. There is a private bar upstairs so no need to go downstairs to order drinks. I can't recommend the venue enough for an event.

Really enjoyed it here....we did ask for a time extension for 4pm although usually it's finishes at 3.30.....we had a personal waiter who was asking us for our next cocktail order as he delivered our cocktails to the table ....I personally had 8 cocktails in 1 and a half hours.....well worth the money and a very friendly atmosphere.....highly recommend xx

Dodworth Tap offers a great selection of real ales, craft beers and food in a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
The pub has a beautiful interior with exposed stone, wooden and tiled floor, varied lighting, and a stunning stone fireplace.
The pub also has a spacious outdoor area with covered seating.
The pub serves up to six real ales on the bar as well as craft beers, cocktails, gins, and wines.
The Dodworth Tap is also Dog friendly and perfect place to enjoy a few drinks or a meal out with friends and family.

This pub is one of the smartest pubs I have ever had the pleasure of drinking in, very well appointed furnishings, excellent selection of beers, friendly and welcoming staff.
I can't comment on the dining but If the food equals the surroundings you're in for real treat.
The owner showed me the function room upstairs, if you're planning a gathering of 40 to 60 people, just take one look, it is beautiful.
Look for yourself really fabulous.
