I started using Dorridge Autos after being fed up with being ripped of by major garages and having to wait weeks for an appointment. What a find!!!!. Extremely pleasant service, extremely efficient service. I have total confidence it their workmanship and am delighted with the amounts charged. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

First time going here for my MOT and can say they are the best garage I have dealt with! Didn’t have to chase them like I have had to do with other garages in the past. They called me to let me know things that needed doing and told me the price straight away (price was the same as what they had told me so no surprises when it came to paying!)
Really friendly staff and great service. Will 100% be going here in the future if needed.

Rude and unhelpful staff , rang before I went , was told I could go anytime before 6 , got there at 10.30 to be told there was no one to help , 4 men sat around the front desk me and my husband the only people in the shop , they have no knowledge of what you need or how to help you are expected to go there and no how to repair your car yourself . Don't bother go to cars pares instead excellent service there .

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the exceptional service at Dorridge Auto in Knowle, Solihull, and I felt compelled to share my experience. My second-hand car had several issues: severely worn brakes, almost metal to metal; suspected wheel bearing issues; and blocked front wind-shield washer jets, to name but a few.

A good friend from my church recommended Dorridge Auto to me, praising their reputation for professionalism and honesty. From the moment I arrived, the Dorridge team lived up to that recommendation.

One interaction, in particular, stood out to me. The team was incredibly informative, explaining all the jargon thoroughly. They detailed which issues required immediate attention, which ones could wait, how long they might wait, and what could potentially shorten or extend that wait period, depending on how I used my vehicle. This clarity was invaluable.

The initial diagnosis was impressively quick, taking about an hour, and they provided additional information on other discovered issues soon after. The explanation was clear, and they even provided a full computer diagnostic printout, making everything easy to understand.

What truly impressed me was their tailored approach to service. They broke down the necessary repairs according to severity and my budget, explaining what was essential for my immediate safety needs and what could or might be deferred. This level of consideration for my financial situation was both surprising and deeply appreciated.

In terms of pricing, Dorridge Auto was very competitive compared to other garages I’ve visited. Their rates were fair, and the value of the service provided was excellent.

The overall atmosphere of the shop was warm, open, and very friendly, making the entire experience exceptionally pleasant, as opposed to stressful.

I would heartily recommend Dorridge Auto to anyone. Despite being a 33-minute drive (13.7 miles) from my home (one way), or a 66-minute round trip (27.4 miles), it was well worth the journey for their honesty, professionalism, and outstanding service.

In a world seemingly full of charlatans and fraudsters, all on the make, this team is truly outstanding and illustrates the traditional meaning of 'service' in the truest sense of the word.
