Amazing local ciders made metres away from getting the best pint ever. Incredible pizzas made by a true legend. Lovely, welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Best place in the world. Peace on earth.

This place is an absolute gem. I’ve lived nearby nearly all my life and didn’t even know it existed. If you’ve never tried cider, which I hadn’t, or if you are a fan, you definitely should try this place, you will go back there. The people who own it are very passionate and knowledgeable about their craft, they grow the apples and produce their own cider, they also have ciders from other producers, as we were told it’s a very close community.
I didn’t know where to start so the lady asked me some questions to determine my palate then I tried a couple of samples, it was all very good. I came home with some too!!!! The stone baked pizzas, all made fresh and cooked in a proper wood fuelled oven, looked delicious. The setting is stunning and it has a lovely easy going atmosphere.

Cute place, popular with walkers and cyclists. Discovered whilst walking along the Pennine trail, great pitstop. The pizza was delicious and the apple juice too. Didn't try the cider or cakes but seemed like there were plenty of options. Friendly dogs walking around happy to share our pizza 😂Toilet facilities were extremely clean. It was nice to see the apple orchards. Will return.

Fab cider/coffee shop and event venue.

We came across the Apple Barn about 18 months ago, and being very much into cider, absolutely fell in love with the place. Great pizzas, an amazing selection of ciders and apple juices (mummy, daddy and toddler all very happy!), a delicious array of cakes and lovely strolls around the orchard. To top it all off, Alison and Chris were so friendly and helpful that we couldn't not visit again. Fast forward to 2023, and we've lost track of the amount of times we've ended up at the Apple Barn on a weekend, usually bringing friends along to introduce them to the absolute awesomeness of the venue!! In fact, we decided we loved the place so much, that we approached Alison and Chris with the idea of holding the Christening after-party for our 2 children there. They were incredibly accommodating and put a huge amount of effort into making sure everything was perfect. We love how rustic the barn is, but adding in a few balloon clusters and some bunting really made it feel special. They organised a hog roast and pizzas for us and our 70-ish guests (both delicious) and made sure there was plenty of alcohol and soft drinks available. They even took care of the Christening cakes for us, which we just added our own toppers to. We had the most wonderful time and we have had so many compliments from our guests since - they really loved everything about the venue and many said they would go back and visit separately.

Found this place in lockdown and have been visiting throughout the years since.

If your ever out on the Trans Pennine Trail then this little gem is a must. Freshly cooked stone oven pizzas, fresh cider by bottle or draft and a newly opened bar, the only problem is I wish I lived nearer.

Clean toilets, very friendly owners Alison & Chris and the also serve cake and coffees.

The barman knows his stuff, great range of cider and Mike on pizzas was ace. The blossom tour was a highlight, looking forward to coming back to see the apples once they’ve grown in Autumn.
