Its and experience getting there in the dark if driving an artic. Site manager is a great guy and the staff are brillient.

Friendly Staff, they load fairly quickly as well. Make sure you enter the site by Whitley Lane. It is signposted from the A39 when you get near there.

This compost is toxic, no plants grow properly in it , it has no nutrients and has given a clean brassica bed of cauliflowers and cabbage club root, Compost is supposed to be sterilised and contain feed this has neither. It does not hold water , fluid just runs straight through it .making a brown mess if used in troughs or baskets, I purchased 40 60litre bags , dug most of it into my veg beds now ruined for brassicas has contains club root spores. Disgusting product comes in different colours in the same bag don't know what they use to make it but it should be removed from sale

HGV Advice…. It’s an experience driving an arctic to Durston Garden Products!!!! It’s advisable to access the site along Whitley Lane from Walton, if you come in from the other direction there’s a very high probability you will meet another truck leaving the site! And there is no room to pass each other! Once your on site report to one of the FLT’s and they will direct you to where you need to be! There is another loading yard just a little further down the road! It’s very exposed and shutting your curtains can be problematic when it’s windy! Overall a good site to load out of, it’s just the access which let’s it down! Good luck!!! 👍😉

Compost. 24 bags of the stuff. I was finding lots of bits of glass, tin and plastic in Durston Compost. My plants went into shock on being repotted into this compost. They went yellow and some died. I believe the compost to be toxic. My plants, including vegetables haven't recovered. I now have to throw my veg away. I emailed Mr. Durston and recieved only excuses and more worryingly an admission that the compost contains general household waste and that I should use thick gloves when handling it! I pointed out to him that if the packaging contained a warning that there could be general waste in it of glass, plastics and tin no one would buy it. Neither is there a warning about using THICK gloves. Why would I want to put waste plastic products into the environment when we are supposed to be cleaning it up! And the amount of sharp glass and tin was far beyond a reasonable amount. I all my days of gardening I have never had to be worried about cutting my hands on sharp glass and tin. Mr. Durston's reply to me was condescending and he is acting totally irresponsibly. I have sent the evidence and Mr. Durston's reply to the retailer so that are aware too. I am flabbergasted that Durston is getting away with this.

Great place to go been a@few times now ..always good ..and friendly people never had an issue ..apart from 1st time a went .. (ROAD IN ) LOL after that a know road to take
