We had a very good experience. Our host Matt was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The distillery tour though brief was informative with an opportunity to taste the original vodka. Then back to the Visitor Centre to taste flavoured versions plus an orange gin. Drivers were given a miniature to take home. We thought it very good value. I understand there are plans to further develop the shop and cafe which would enhance this as a visitor attraction.

We attended the 1st Burns Night Whisky Tasting Event at Ellers Farm last night. Evening consisted of a welcome drink on arrival and a delicious hearty meal of haggis, neeps and tatties. It was a great evening with a really friendly group and our host Rowan was knowledgeable and engaging and made everything really interesting. As a non whisky drinker I wasn’t sure how I would find it, but the whole night was such great fun that it didn’t matter and I actually really enjoyed a couple of the drams. Everyone was chatty and we learned a lot even just about the art of tasting the whisky itself. There were burns night traditions and we all had a go at reading poetry. It was a fantastic evening and I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks Team Ellers.

Highly recommend the tour at Ellers Farm. Very in depth and interesting talk about the distillery and how their delicious alcohol is made. Ollie was a brilliant tour guide and has a real passion for his craft. Just brilliant from start to finish!

This was absolutely fabulous ~ the tour was both interesting and informative and Ollie was a great guide.
The Vodka, Slow Gin, Elderflower and Elderberry Liqueur alongside the Cherry Liqueur were fabulous, resistance was futile and a number of bottles found their way home with us.
An ever so wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommend! 😊

We were really made to feel welcome and the tour was very informative. Great to see how the process works, the distillery is immaculate and the visitor centre and bar is tastefully designed. Above all, the products are excellent. We were glad to introduce this little gem of a business to our friends and we all came away with some new products to try. They're a great business and our host, Matt, was excellent. Really looking forward to seeing this business' journey and, paying another visit. Thanks Matt & team.

We had a fantastic time at Ellers Farm Distillery on a York Cares Social Club visit, bringing together older and younger (18+) neighbours to share new experiences and friendships. Rowan, our tour guide, was outstanding—informative, personable, and happy to answer all of our neighbours' questions with enthusiasm and expertise. The highlight for everyone was the tasting session, where we got to sample a great selection of vodkas and even a gin! We also loved relaxing in the beautiful new café afterward with some lovely refreshments. A wonderful experience that brought our community together—highly recommend!

The experience was a good one. Matt our tour guide was very informative, professional and friendly. The tour was interesting and fun, especially the tasting of the vodkas, gin, and liquors which were great. I would definitely recommend going for a tour, such an enjoyable day.
