I recently visited Fabric Land in Bristol with my dad, who wanted to purchase fabric to have custom thobes made. Since my dad's friend is traveling to Bangladesh soon, he’ll be taking the materials with him so the thobes can be custom-made there. We’d heard great things about Fabric Land, and our experience confirmed it’s truly a gem.

The shop itself is spacious and well-organized, making it easy to browse through a huge selection of fabrics. They have an impressive variety of materials, colors, and patterns, all at very reasonable prices. We were able to find exactly what we needed without having to look too hard, which speaks to how well the store is laid out.

One of the standout aspects of our visit was the staff. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and seemed to genuinely care about helping us find the best materials for our needs. Their expertise made the shopping experience even better, as they guided us with valuable tips on the different fabrics and their uses. My dad ended up buying four pieces of fabric, each two meters long, totaling just £38. Even more impressive was their kindness—one of the fabrics had just 2.5 meters left on the roll, and the staff generously gave us the extra 0.5 meters at no additional cost.

The only slight downside of the visit was the location, as the store is situated in central Bristol, where parking can be challenging and a bit pricey. However, the quality of service and the variety of fabrics available made up for this minor inconvenience, and we were happy to make the trip.

All in all, I would highly recommend Fabric Land in Bristol for anyone looking for high-quality fabrics at great prices. My dad was thrilled with his purchase, and we’ll definitely be returning for future projects. A fantastic experience from start to finish!

This shop is so great and well priced for what you get. So many beautiful patterns and colours everywhere. Staff are super friendly. I would like to see more organic and sustainable fabrics but I understand they are expensive to get ahold of and to sell

Nice fabric shop with loads of choice. Helpful and friendly staff who were able to give me some good advice on an appropriate fabric type for a project I had in mind. I brought my two young kids with me who were in and out of everything throughout the shop, but the staff recognised this and were understanding - I know plenty of places will throw you out for having young kids with you so this was helpful!
