What a lovely venue, great location wonderful views. Rooms all beautifully decorated and well presented. Dinning room was lovely and afternoon tea was exceptional. The staff are fabulous very friendly and courteous. We had a great afternoon and loved every minute of it.
You have to book and they only serve afternoon tea on a Thursday.

The perfect end to a very busy week. From the moment you drive in, it feels relaxed, and it was effortless to switch off and forget the outside world. Perfectly laid out, and tastefully decorated room with views over beautiful grounds added to the easy relaxation. |Attentive and personable staff, not to mention knowledgeable, are a credit..... and this is all before we get to food.|The meal was an experience on its own!! every course perfect in detail and taste. -immense!. |We didn't travel far to enjoy this, but, both agreed it felt we had been away for days. We will be back 🙂

The Cottage at Farlam Hall was a magnificent stay. We all wished that we could have stayed for several more days just to enjoy the property. The spacious rooms and top end furnishings were excellent. The grounds were beautiful and perfect for a stroll or just taking in the view. ||Most of all, the staff went above and beyond at every turn. They assisted us with our plans and helped us with the logistics of our car rentals. . I cannot thank them enough. ||Lastly, we dined at Cedar Tree, which is an experience you must not miss. The food and the service exceeded our expectations. I don’t think I have ever had such a delightful meal.||If you have the opportunity to stay at Farlam Hall do not pass it up.

Perfect from start to finish. Beautiful room. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Amazing dining, the food is exquisite, the chefs really are perfectionists. It was just as perfect as last time and we will be back again!

WOW what a fantastic restaurant. Farlam Hall chef Hrishikesh Desai and team run a Michelin star star Restaurant, the Cedar Tree. Exceptional, is the only way to describe the tasting menu. The quality, amazing presentation and shear brilliance of the menu is better than some 2 and 3 star Michelin restaurants I have been to over many years. Added to this is fantastic service throughout the evening.

Wonderful stay recently at Farlam Hall Hotel. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble for them, you will be well looked after. Very comfortable bed and the room was very stylish. Amazing food and so creative. We are looking forward to visiting again.

A Five Star Cumbria Experience!||From the moment I received a call asking about allergies for the meal 24 hours in advance, I anticipated a first rate experience and I wasn’t disappointed!||The setting and grounds and delightful entrance to the building set the tone and this continued with the hearty welcome and the fantastic clock and its history being explained by one of the very friendly staff who proceeded to make an equally fantastic cocktail.||The lovely vibe continued in the sitting room with a cozy open fire and the meal that followed hit the spot after a mad day! ||Service was impeccable and very much appreciated from the table service, assistance with a mobile phone being charged to the discretion re the muddy attire after a day at an archeological dig and visits to Bewcastle and Hadrian’s Wall. Couldn’t have been made more welcome! ||Thank you to the team at Farlam Hall!
