Friendly host who wanted ensure we had a good stay. Rooms very clean and bed very comfortable. Parking a bonus. 2 minute walk to Lynton, close to walk along coast to Valley of the Rocks. Ideally located.|Breakfast set us up for the day.|Hope to return soon

Nicola was very welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good but it had to be preordered the day before which is fine but we only filled in a form on the first day but our taste buds change so it would have been better to fill out a form every day for the next day so you could have a variety if required. It would also have been good if yogurts had been supplied and some fresh fruit. Also Nicola would bring the toast out at the beginning of the breakfast so by the time you wanted to eat it it was cold. Apart from these negatives I would recommend Gable Lodge as it was in a good spot.

Nicola was a lovely host. From the moment we arrived she made us very welcome. The room was very clean and some special touches like homemade shortbread and fresh flowers from her lovely garden. It was good to meet a host who cared about where the food came from. It was a rare treat to be able to have free range full English breakfast.||The b & b is perfectly places to visit The valley of rocks, Vernacular railway, Lynmouth and Watersmeet all which we fitted in over the weekend.||Lots of places to eat and we went with Nicolas recommendations. The Crown has good pub food and The Cottage Inn very good Thai food.

My father and I had a lovely stay at Gable Lodge in Sept 2023. Nicola was very welcoming, the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean and it was one of the best B&B breakfasts we have ever had!

This was a first class guest house. We booked 4 rooms and they were all spotless. We even had a small balcony from ours. Couldn't fault the hosts, very welcoming and friendly. Ian was very entertaining with his jokes. Lovely location, off street parking and close to all the amenities. Great breakfast which is always a bonus. Highly recommend a stay here.

Nicola is an excellent host and will return for sure. The rooms were super clean, breakfast was great and we all slept well.

The first floor balcony room was bigger and offered an excellent view of the hills. Spent quality time with family.

Late in writing a review, however, Gable Lodge was the perfect find for us in a great location. Accommodation was lovely and clean with some nice little touches like a small fridge with fresh milk. Beds were really comfy. Hosts friendly and very helpful and knowledgable on the area and recommendations on walks and local places to eat. Breakfast was a real highlight with amazing local fresh produce used. Would recommend and stay again.

Stayed here with my partner for two nights. The owners are really friendly, the room was absolutely pristine with an amazing shower! It was really quiet so slept well! And to top it off, the breakfast was really good, made with high quality produce. We would definitely visit again!
