Two large rib eye steaks for £16 and they were beautiful. Friendly staff and great prices, loads of offers on. This is now our butcher of choice and we have a leg of lamb, more steaks and a huge pack of chicken breasts to enjoy. Park in Tesco for free and walk through the lane. Perfect!!

Just had the best burger of my life, and I'm not even exaggerating! We passed this little butchers today, whilst on holiday, and thought we'd give their wares a go. What I wasn't expecting was the selection of cooked pies and pastries, so we picked up a couple of amazing sausage rolls (sorry Gregg's these were better) and a few bits for a BBQ, all of which were wonderful quality and tasted great. But here is where we had our socks blown off. The rib cap burgers are out of this world. They are huge! And the flavour is just wow! The food was so good we're planning our day out tomorrow and making sure we can pop by again to grab a few more bits. If you're in the vague area go out of your way to visit here because it will be worth it. I just wish I lived closer.

One of the happiest finds in a recent move to the area. Inviting shop filled with interest and in two visits, excellent produce so far. Pie selection and quality is excellent, made on the premises. Steak and Beef & Onion types being exceptional. Sausage rolls very nice and the pasties are next level, literally the best you're likely to encounter for general sale anywhere. Not tried more usual meats from here yet, but whilst passing will definitely do so based on the experience of the place. It's really very good and the staff are knowledgeable and welcoming. Superb, deserves to be more widely recognised!

Unusual but had the worst price of beef joint that was extremely tough and inedible.
The joint was rolled and as tough as old boots and the first time we have had poor produce from here.

I asked the butcher to make some pork and black pudding sausages as my son had them somewhere on his travel's. Omg they where delicious. The flavour was excellent. Best butcher around by far. We've eaten most of all they sell and haven't found anything we don't like. Pies, meat, fresh fruit and veggies the lot.

The point of going to local shops is supposed to be quality service as well as local produce, but the service depends on who you get at the counter.
In my experience the produce is good and two of the staff are charming, but the third isn't and is very dismissive of some customers and their requirements (ie., me and mine - I have not done a more extended survey on the matter). If I leave a shop in a worse mood than I went in, I tend not to go back. There is a rival butcher round the corner who might be more amenable. But I really don't like high handed and unfriendly people who set out to sour my mood on a sunny morning so, for me, this one is now off limits for a while. Cheer up and be helpful people or lose customers and profits! That simple.
