I have been shopping at his garden centre for over 10 years now. The owners have always been incredibly helpful, offering much needed advice and help. I’m not a plant expert.
Today, I was shopping for summer bedding and the lady that greeted me was rude and dismissive and when I provided feedback on my experience, I was told ‘we aren’t personal shoppers, it’s a self service garden centre’.
Sadly my business goes elsewhere now. This isn’t the way to treat customers. I’ll go to Polihill going forward.

This garden centre run by Paul and Sarah provide excellent quality plants well laid out composts etc.which are well signposted and labelled
Paul and Sarah have worked really hard to gain their high standards and besides the garden centre have a good quality farm shop and sell lovely ice cream

We attended the garden centre today 4/7/24 and understand that Sarah and Paul are on holiday.
The office /till was manned by a young girl who didn't have a clue about plants, shop or anything else.
She was not interested in what I wanted
I purchased a bag of compost and asked if they had any phlox available.What? Came the answer so I spelled it out.

I don't know came the answer and that was the end of the conversation.
