**7K Bill, 4k Roof, 2k AMP, 1k Body Work Shocking Experience with Hendy Southampton - Land Rover**

**1 Month Later update at Bottom no Reply or resolution.**

I purchased a 2015 Range Rover Sport (GY15 YCU) from Hendy Southampton - Land Rover in good faith, expecting a premium vehicle with excellent after-sales service. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but.

From the moment I took delivery, the car had multiple warning lights, including IEB Sensor blocked, Suspension Fault, and Parking Aid failure. One of the reverse cameras was broken, and I was informed that the damage must have occurred before I received the vehicle. Worse, two door panels had to be resprayed due to a botched smart repair, which cost me £400 out of pocket. These are issues that should have been caught during their so-called "165-point check."

The problems continued, with the vehicle frequently going into Limp mode, costing me lost income as I was unable to attend work meetings. Even though Land Rover Preston addressed some of these issues, the bodywork began to peel and crack after just a few months. This, combined with delays in delivery, suggested the car had already undergone rushed and substandard repairs.

The final straw has been a severe water leakage issue, which has continued despite repairs. Harding’s Garage discovered that the sunroof drain is corroded and broken, requiring extensive work. Not only has this cost me more in repairs, but the water damage has also caused my car’s audio system to malfunction. I’m now forced to use a car cover every time it rains — hardly what you’d expect from a Land Rover.

“Why ask me to obtain an independent report then rubbish the claims !?”

Despite contacting the dealership repeatedly, the problems have not been resolved, and I’ve been left with a car that has been unfit for purpose from the start. I would advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership to think twice. The stress, the costs, and the overall lack of resolution have made this a deeply disappointing experience.

**Rating: 0/5** Wouldn’t let them iron my socks ! Liars and Conmen, selling damaged repairs cars, paid over £31,000 for a car that was already broken and a ticking time bomb.
Don’t trust a word they say !
I’ve been left with a £7000 total bill to stop
The car leaking and just to listen to music again !!

Once you handover your cash then they don’t want to know you.

**UPDATE** Almost a month has past and although they said they would get in touch to resolve. I’ve had absolutely zero contact from them and guess what my cars still broken !! Who do you guys actually think you are ?

As expected no response, if you see this review and are thinking of buying a car from this lot, please do one thing for me take your money elsewhere you won’t regret it.

Dreadful experience took my partner to collect her new car she pulled off the black cloth to review a poorly valeted discovery with dents and trim missing and no car mats in the car. It also hadn’t been serviced ( their policy is to service if it needs one within 4000 miles and they didn’t. Car developed a fault which they still haven’t fixed they collected the car told us back in 3 days 4 weeks later we weren’t without still chasing. We weren’t told what the issue was just that “adjustments had been made “ and the fault was still present: having to now fight it out with the dealership and Land Rover uk !!! All when juggling caring for a disabled partner and our four children... definitely stay away which is a great shame as it’s a lovely new centre!

Took my car in for a recall, no issues booking in etc but when returned to collect my car the paintwork had been damaged on both sides ...chips on one edge and a long scratch. It was immaculate when I left the car and of course they deny any knowledge and I've been left with a £500 bill to get it back to good ! The video they take when you drop your car off is not worth anything as it isn't detailed enough, it's just a tick box!
They haven't had decency to correspond efficiently in regards to it. Would recommend you take your own video of your car before leaving with them and don't take the offer up for a free car wash !

Steve K from Hendy Land Rover has been exceptional in my recent purchase of a Land Rover Defender 110 XS Edition. I first visited the dealership in February 2024 and was impressed with Steve from the offset. Steve was very amicable and not judgmental in the slightest unlike a number of other dealerships in the area. We managed to reach a great deal on a new vehicle and Steve was able to keep the car until September for the new 74 reg. I was kept upto date throughout the process and even after taking delivery have had a call to ensure I am happy with the car and didn’t have any further questions. JLR have just earned a new customer for life. I cannot fault Steve and it was definitely his professionalism and kind personality that contributed to me wanting to buy from this dealership and not elsewhere. The whole process was relaxing and did not once feel pressured.
Steve’s experience with the cars was great and his guidance helped me to make the right decisions with spec and colours. Could not be happier. Thanks a lot!

Sold a second hand car jaguar four weeks ago, parking sensor fault on delivery, unable to get any support from sales associate or manager. Received a service appointment for next month, no contact from service centre to check if we're available, have contacted dealer to change and no response. Shockingly bad customer service, have ruined what was a great experience up until now

The atmosphere is very positive, the team members are very customer oriented - nothing is too much to ask for.
Loved every minute of my experience.
If you want to be looked after in the most amazing way then ask for Bradley. He is incredible. Ben did an amazing reveal to my new car.

Great experience and value for money at Hendy Land Rover in Southampton. Advisors are friendly, refreshments provided whilst you wait. You can work remotely from there if you wanted to and I did. You are kept updated on the servicing of your vehicle and you receive a little video of the works on your car which is great. Highly recommend

The worst customer service ever experienced. Our Range Rover was issued with a recall due to a manufacture problem and had to go to an authorised dealer which in our case, living on the Isle of Wight was Hendy Southampton. This involved ferry , taxi and 2 days off work as we were told this was the time allowed. Hendy now refuse to refund just the cost of ferry fare having lost the relevant invoices in their possession due to staff member leaving and do not respond to numerous e mails. Phone calls just as fruitless as never anyone to deal with the matter and you are provided with alternative numbers that lead nowhere. Extremely unhelpful and only interested in selling one a new vehicle. Would never buy again or ever recommend Hendy Southampton especially if one lives on the Isle of Wight.
